Role Description: <ul><li>The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for the leadership, performance and operational excellence of Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Clubs portfolio of safari lodges, camps, safari businesses and future hospitality ventures.</li><li>Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer – Hospitality &amp; Conservation, the role has executive accountability for the day-to-day and long-term performance of the Companys operations, ensuring exceptional safari and hospitality experiences, consistently high accommodation and service standards, effective asset management, operational efficiency and sustainable profitability across the portfolio.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations translates the Companys strategy and commercial commitments into operational execution. The role ensures that what the Company sells is consistently and successfully delivered across every stage of the guest journey, from reservation handover and pre-arrival preparation through accommodation, safari experiences, on-property services and departure.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations is accountable for operational delivery, on-ground sales and trade relationships in market, guest conversion and on-property revenue and expense management.</li></ul> Responsibilities&nbsp; 1. Strategic Leadership &amp; Operational Business Performance – 20% <ul><li>Partner with the Chief Executive Officer to translate the strategic direction of Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club into clear operational priorities, business plans and measurable performance outcomes.</li><li>Provide executive leadership across the Companys safari, lodge, camp and hospitality operations, ensuring effective execution of the Companys strategic and commercial priorities.</li><li>Act as a custodian of the Companys operational assets, financial resources and reputation, applying a long-term ownership mindset to operational decision-making.</li><li>Establish clear performance expectations and accountability across the operational organization.</li><li>Monitor business performance through financial, operational, guest experience, asset and people indicators and ensure timely intervention where performance falls below expectation.</li><li>Lead regular executive business reviews and property performance reviews to ensure corrective actions and opportunities are effectively implemented.</li><li>Identify operational risks and opportunities and recommend actions that strengthen profitability, resilience, service quality and long-term business sustainability.</li><li>Build scalable operating structures, standards and systems capable of supporting the Companys future growth and portfolio expansion.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the operational business.</li></ul> 2. Safari Business, Hospitality &amp; Guest Experience – 20% <ul><li>Provide executive leadership for Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Clubs safari business and hospitality operations across the portfolio.</li><li>Ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional safari, accommodation and hospitality experiences across all lodges, camps and safari operations.</li><li>Take executive accountability for the operational delivery of the complete guest journey, from reservation handover and pre-arrival preparation through arrival, accommodation, safari activities and departure.</li><li>Provide executive oversight of accommodation, front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, guiding, game drives, guest activities, safari logistics, fleet operations, maintenance, engineering and operational support services.</li><li>Establish and maintain clear operating and service standards across the portfolio while allowing properties to retain appropriate authenticity and sense of place.</li></ul> 3. Commercial Delivery, On-Ground Sales &amp; Financial Stewardship – 15% <ul><li>Take accountability for the operational delivery of the Companys commercial strategy across safari operations, lodges and camps.</li><li>Build and maintain strong on-ground relationships with tour operators, travel agents, DMCs, trade partners, corporate clients and other relevant market stakeholders.</li><li>Drive upselling and on-property revenue opportunities across accommodation, food and beverage, safari activities, transfers, retail and ancillary services.</li><li>Ensure operational teams understand and effectively deliver commercial campaigns, packages, products and commitments developed by the Commercial function.</li></ul> 4. Product, Accommodation &amp; Asset Excellence – 15% <ul><li>Drive the continuous operational enhancement of the Companys safari products, accommodation experiences and hospitality offerings.</li><li>Ensure lodges, camps, guest accommodation, public spaces and operational facilities evolve in line with guest expectations, operational requirements and the Companys positioning.</li></ul> Requirements: Qualifications &amp; Experience <ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism or a related discipline.</li><li>Minimum of 10 years progressive executive leadership experience within Safari hospitality, tourism or related industries.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years leading multi-property or multi-business operations at an executive level.</li><li>Proven experience developing and executing business strategy and organizational transformation.</li><li>Strong commercial, financial and operational leadership experience.</li><li>Demonstrated success leading organizational growth, acquisitions, new business ventures or expansion projects.</li><li>Experience working with Boards and executive leadership teams.</li><li>Experience leading geographically dispersed operations across multiple locations.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Strong understanding of East African hospitality, safari and tourism markets</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Support the preparation of re-master planning and development proposals, including research, technical studies, planning analysis, presentations and documentations for management review.</li><li>Conduct benchmarking, site case analysis, land use, existing site conditions, infrastructure and future approved plans in coordination with relevant internal teams.</li><li>Maintain and update development statistics, LUB tracker and planning databases including population assumptions, forecasts and other master plan data.</li><li>Support community facilities provision analysis, including assessment of requirements, review of proposed facilities and allocation against population and planning needs.</li><li>Review and process VAS applications, including land use change, Additional height, additional GFA, amalgamation and subdivision requests; coordinate with relevant stakeholders, prepare technical assessments and pre-approval forms for management review and approval.</li><li>Preparation and updating of Development Control Regulations (DCRs) and related planning documents as required.</li><li>Support in mater plan and dataset review submitted by the development team or consultants and ensure they are in line with the mater plan vision &amp; development control regulations.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree</li><li>Advanced Skills in Microsoft word, power point, Excel, AutoCAD, Sketchup</li><li>2 years of relevant experience in related field</li><li>Reliability, accuracy and confidentiality of documentation</li><li>Adherence to company policy and procedure for documentation, processing in releasing data.</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Support in preparing budgetary cost advice for all work elements of the project, ensuring accurate cost estimates and facilitating informed decision-making.</li><li>Issue inquiries to suppliers/subcontractors and prepare bid summaries for review and approval, optimizing procurement processes and securing competitive bids.</li><li>Support procurement and contractual activities, safeguarding the companys interests and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.</li><li>Generate Order of Magnitude costs for construction projects, providing preliminary cost estimates to guide project planning and decision-making.</li><li>Refine, monitor, and control costs during design development, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to project budgets.</li><li>Manage cost analysis for new work, repair, and maintenance work to provide detailed cost requirements and timely advice to the client, fostering cost transparency and informed client decisions.</li><li>Liaise and coordinate between civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and other disciplines to ensure the material requirements for different work, assess the feasibility of using different materials, and create various cost scenarios for the client to make informed decisions on the cost implications of material choices.</li><li>Conduct risk analysis of different projects to identify, manage, or avoid potential risks, enhancing the cost-benefit profile of projects through proactive risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Procure quality services and works, calculating cost benefits to the project and client to ensure adherence to best practices and maximize project value.</li><li>Manage the tendering and awarding process and procedures, ensuring the selection of qualified contractors for bidding and awarding of work within established parameters, fostering competitive procurement practices and securing the best value for the project.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Graduate in Contracts Management/ Civil Engineering/ Quantity Surveying or related field.</li><li>Certified Contract Manager (CCM) / Professional Contract Manager (PCM) / Certified Public Procurement (CPP)- preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge in FIDIC suite of contracts&nbsp;</li><li>Skilled in Project Management (preferred), Quantity Survey (requirement) and Risk Management (preferred).</li><li>Strong understanding of contract law, construction law, and relevant business law principles.</li><li>Min. 3-5 years of experience with at least 3 years involvement in administering contracts.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Responsibilities Target State Architecture and Convergence <ul><li>Define and maintain the target state architecture for cargo management systems across the global network, covering platform selection, consolidation, integration, and retirement</li><li>Produce a roadmap that sequences how regional systems (Cargospot, COSYS+, ePic) move toward an agreed target, with clear architectural rationale for each decision</li><li>Document and govern architecture decisions to ensure transparency, consistency, and auditability</li><li>Maintain a current-state map of the platform estate, including capability overlap, integration debt, and footprint reduction opportunities</li></ul> Integration, Connectivity, and Data Architecture <ul><li>Define integration standards and patterns for cargo systems, including airline connectivity (ONE Record, Cargo-XML, EDI), messaging, and API design</li><li>Set the data architecture for the cargo estate so that operational, customer, and commercial data flows are consistent and reusable across stations</li><li>Establish interoperability requirements between cargo management systems and adjacent platforms</li><li>Govern the technical aspects of customer-specific connectivity so that customer requests are met without fragmenting the core platform</li></ul> Change Order Validation and Cost Governance <ul><li>Review and validate every material change order raised against the cargo management systems are justified by the actual scope of work</li><li>Assess the technical complexity of each change order independently to challenge vendor proposals where required</li><li>Challenge inflated, padded, or over-scoped change orders, and provide documented technical rationale of its decisions</li><li>Distinguish change orders that reflect genuine new scope from those that should fall within existing contractual obligations or standard product, protecting the network from avoidable cost</li><li>Maintain a defensible record of change-order assessments so that platform spend is traceable and auditable, and patterns of vendor over-scoping are visible to leadership</li></ul> Standards, Governance, and Technical Authority <ul><li>Own the architectural standards that regional implementations are held against, and run the technical review of material platform changes</li><li>Provide architectural input into product governance</li><li>Ensure vendor solution designs align with target architecture or introduce avoidable lock-in</li><li>Partner with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture functions to ensure cargo platform architecture meets security, audit, and regulatory requirements</li></ul> Delivery Partnership and Advisory <ul><li>Act as the senior technical advisor to the Digital Product Management function, translating strategic direction into an executable systems blueprint</li><li>Support platform evaluations and proofs of concept with rigorous technical assessment</li><li>Provide architectural guidance to regional technology teams during implementation, migration, and cutover</li><li>Communicate architecture clearly and plainly to non-technical leadership; postgraduate qualification preferred</li><li>Recognised enterprise architecture certification valued: TOGAF 9.2 or equivalent</li><li>Cargo Systems Domain (required): Deep, hands-on knowledge of cargo management systems and the cargo handling business is essential and non-negotiable for this role; ideally across more than one of Cargospot, COSYS+, or ePic, with a clear understanding of how these systems are used at station level in export, import, and special-handling flows.</li><li>This knowledge is the basis on which the role validates change orders and holds the architectural line</li><li>Change Order and Cost Assessment: Demonstrated ability to assess vendor change orders on cost, man-hour estimate, and technical complexity, and to challenge estimates that are not justified by the work;
