Role Description: <ul><li>The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for the leadership, performance and operational excellence of Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Clubs portfolio of safari lodges, camps, safari businesses and future hospitality ventures.</li><li>Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer – Hospitality &amp; Conservation, the role has executive accountability for the day-to-day and long-term performance of the Companys operations, ensuring exceptional safari and hospitality experiences, consistently high accommodation and service standards, effective asset management, operational efficiency and sustainable profitability across the portfolio.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations translates the Companys strategy and commercial commitments into operational execution. The role ensures that what the Company sells is consistently and successfully delivered across every stage of the guest journey, from reservation handover and pre-arrival preparation through accommodation, safari experiences, on-property services and departure.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations is accountable for operational delivery, on-ground sales and trade relationships in market, guest conversion and on-property revenue and expense management.</li></ul> Responsibilities&nbsp; 1. Strategic Leadership &amp; Operational Business Performance – 20% <ul><li>Partner with the Chief Executive Officer to translate the strategic direction of Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club into clear operational priorities, business plans and measurable performance outcomes.</li><li>Provide executive leadership across the Companys safari, lodge, camp and hospitality operations, ensuring effective execution of the Companys strategic and commercial priorities.</li><li>Act as a custodian of the Companys operational assets, financial resources and reputation, applying a long-term ownership mindset to operational decision-making.</li><li>Establish clear performance expectations and accountability across the operational organization.</li><li>Monitor business performance through financial, operational, guest experience, asset and people indicators and ensure timely intervention where performance falls below expectation.</li><li>Lead regular executive business reviews and property performance reviews to ensure corrective actions and opportunities are effectively implemented.</li><li>Identify operational risks and opportunities and recommend actions that strengthen profitability, resilience, service quality and long-term business sustainability.</li><li>Build scalable operating structures, standards and systems capable of supporting the Companys future growth and portfolio expansion.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the operational business.</li></ul> 2. Safari Business, Hospitality &amp; Guest Experience – 20% <ul><li>Provide executive leadership for Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Clubs safari business and hospitality operations across the portfolio.</li><li>Ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional safari, accommodation and hospitality experiences across all lodges, camps and safari operations.</li><li>Take executive accountability for the operational delivery of the complete guest journey, from reservation handover and pre-arrival preparation through arrival, accommodation, safari activities and departure.</li><li>Provide executive oversight of accommodation, front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, guiding, game drives, guest activities, safari logistics, fleet operations, maintenance, engineering and operational support services.</li><li>Establish and maintain clear operating and service standards across the portfolio while allowing properties to retain appropriate authenticity and sense of place.</li></ul> 3. Commercial Delivery, On-Ground Sales &amp; Financial Stewardship – 15% <ul><li>Take accountability for the operational delivery of the Companys commercial strategy across safari operations, lodges and camps.</li><li>Build and maintain strong on-ground relationships with tour operators, travel agents, DMCs, trade partners, corporate clients and other relevant market stakeholders.</li><li>Drive upselling and on-property revenue opportunities across accommodation, food and beverage, safari activities, transfers, retail and ancillary services.</li><li>Ensure operational teams understand and effectively deliver commercial campaigns, packages, products and commitments developed by the Commercial function.</li></ul> 4. Product, Accommodation &amp; Asset Excellence – 15% <ul><li>Drive the continuous operational enhancement of the Companys safari products, accommodation experiences and hospitality offerings.</li><li>Ensure lodges, camps, guest accommodation, public spaces and operational facilities evolve in line with guest expectations, operational requirements and the Companys positioning.</li></ul> Requirements: Qualifications &amp; Experience <ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism or a related discipline.</li><li>Minimum of 10 years progressive executive leadership experience within Safari hospitality, tourism or related industries.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years leading multi-property or multi-business operations at an executive level.</li><li>Proven experience developing and executing business strategy and organizational transformation.</li><li>Strong commercial, financial and operational leadership experience.</li><li>Demonstrated success leading organizational growth, acquisitions, new business ventures or expansion projects.</li><li>Experience working with Boards and executive leadership teams.</li><li>Experience leading geographically dispersed operations across multiple locations.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Strong understanding of East African hospitality, safari and tourism markets</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Support in preparing budgetary cost advice for all work elements of the project, ensuring accurate cost estimates and facilitating informed decision-making.</li><li>Issue inquiries to suppliers/subcontractors and prepare bid summaries for review and approval, optimizing procurement processes and securing competitive bids.</li><li>Support procurement and contractual activities, safeguarding the companys interests and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.</li><li>Generate Order of Magnitude costs for construction projects, providing preliminary cost estimates to guide project planning and decision-making.</li><li>Refine, monitor, and control costs during design development, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to project budgets.</li><li>Manage cost analysis for new work, repair, and maintenance work to provide detailed cost requirements and timely advice to the client, fostering cost transparency and informed client decisions.</li><li>Liaise and coordinate between civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and other disciplines to ensure the material requirements for different work, assess the feasibility of using different materials, and create various cost scenarios for the client to make informed decisions on the cost implications of material choices.</li><li>Conduct risk analysis of different projects to identify, manage, or avoid potential risks, enhancing the cost-benefit profile of projects through proactive risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Procure quality services and works, calculating cost benefits to the project and client to ensure adherence to best practices and maximize project value.</li><li>Manage the tendering and awarding process and procedures, ensuring the selection of qualified contractors for bidding and awarding of work within established parameters, fostering competitive procurement practices and securing the best value for the project.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Graduate in Contracts Management/ Civil Engineering/ Quantity Surveying or related field.</li><li>Certified Contract Manager (CCM) / Professional Contract Manager (PCM) / Certified Public Procurement (CPP)- preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge in FIDIC suite of contracts&nbsp;</li><li>Skilled in Project Management (preferred), Quantity Survey (requirement) and Risk Management (preferred).</li><li>Strong understanding of contract law, construction law, and relevant business law principles.</li><li>Min. 3-5 years of experience with at least 3 years involvement in administering contracts.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Continuously monitor security consoles and dashboards (SIEM, EDR, etc.) for suspicious activity; triage alerts to identify valid security incidents versus false positives and prioritize response based on asset criticality and business risk.</li><li>Investigate suspicious activities and security events, determine the scope and severity of incidents, and gather relevant evidence. Perform root cause analysis to identify attack vectors and affected systems.</li><li>Execute incident response actions end-to-end – including timely containment of threats, eradication of malicious artifacts, and system recovery – following the organization’s incident response plan. Coordinate with IT infrastructure, application owners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective remediation of incidents.</li><li>Proactively hunt for indicators of compromise and hidden threats in logs, network traffic, and endpoint telemetry, even without specific alerts. Use hypothesis-driven techniques and knowledge of attacker TTPs to uncover stealthy or emerging threats that evaded initial detection.</li><li>Continuously tune SIEM/EDR detection rules, thresholds, and SOAR playbooks—automating repetitive response actions to reduce false positives and accelerate containment</li><li>Leverage internal and external threat intelligence sources to enrich analysis and response. Stay updated on new vulnerabilities and adversary tactics; incorporate this knowledge to adjust monitoring rules and incident response strategies. Map observed malicious activities to frameworks like MITRE ATT&amp;CK for reporting and analysis.</li><li>Work closely with global SOC team members and escalate complex incidents to senior analysts or incident response leads when necessary. Collaborate with colleagues in other regions to ensure seamless coverage and knowledge sharing across the security team.</li><li>Document investigation steps, findings, and actions taken for each incident in a clear and concise manner. Prepare incident reports and contribute to post-incident review meetings, highlighting what occurred, how it was resolved, and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.</li><li>Assist in developing and updating incident response playbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base documentation. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve security monitoring tools, analytics content (detection rules), and workflow automation (SOAR playbooks) for greater efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>Share insights from incidents and trending threats with the broader team to enhance overall awareness. Responsibilities Target State Architecture and Convergence <ul><li>Define and maintain the target state architecture for cargo management systems across the global network, covering platform selection, consolidation, integration, and retirement</li><li>Produce a roadmap that sequences how regional systems (Cargospot, COSYS+, ePic) move toward an agreed target, with clear architectural rationale for each decision</li><li>Document and govern architecture decisions to ensure transparency, consistency, and auditability</li><li>Maintain a current-state map of the platform estate, including capability overlap, integration debt, and footprint reduction opportunities</li></ul> Integration, Connectivity, and Data Architecture <ul><li>Define integration standards and patterns for cargo systems, including airline connectivity (ONE Record, Cargo-XML, EDI), messaging, and API design</li><li>Set the data architecture for the cargo estate so that operational, customer, and commercial data flows are consistent and reusable across stations</li><li>Establish interoperability requirements between cargo management systems and adjacent platforms</li><li>Govern the technical aspects of customer-specific connectivity so that customer requests are met without fragmenting the core platform</li></ul> Change Order Validation and Cost Governance <ul><li>Review and validate every material change order raised against the cargo management systems are justified by the actual scope of work</li><li>Assess the technical complexity of each change order independently to challenge vendor proposals where required</li><li>Challenge inflated, padded, or over-scoped change orders, and provide documented technical rationale of its decisions</li><li>Distinguish change orders that reflect genuine new scope from those that should fall within existing contractual obligations or standard product, protecting the network from avoidable cost</li><li>Maintain a defensible record of change-order assessments so that platform spend is traceable and auditable, and patterns of vendor over-scoping are visible to leadership</li></ul> Standards, Governance, and Technical Authority <ul><li>Own the architectural standards that regional implementations are held against, and run the technical review of material platform changes</li><li>Provide architectural input into product governance</li><li>Ensure vendor solution designs align with target architecture or introduce avoidable lock-in</li><li>Partner with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture functions to ensure cargo platform architecture meets security, audit, and regulatory requirements</li></ul> Delivery Partnership and Advisory <ul><li>Act as the senior technical advisor to the Digital Product Management function, translating strategic direction into an executable systems blueprint</li><li>Support platform evaluations and proofs of concept with rigorous technical assessment</li><li>Provide architectural guidance to regional technology teams during implementation, migration, and cutover</li><li>Communicate architecture clearly and plainly to non-technical leadership; state platform status honestly as live, in build, in pilot, or proposed</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline required; postgraduate qualification preferred</li><li>Recognised enterprise architecture certification valued: TOGAF 9.2 or equivalent</li><li>Cargo Systems Domain (required): Deep, hands-on knowledge of cargo management systems and the cargo handling business is essential and non-negotiable for this role; ideally across more than one of Cargospot, COSYS+, or ePic, with a clear understanding of how these systems are used at station level in export, import, and special-handling flows.</li><li>This knowledge is the basis on which the role validates change orders and holds the architectural line</li><li>Change Order and Cost Assessment: Demonstrated ability to assess vendor change orders on cost, man-hour estimate, and technical complexity, and to challenge estimates that are not justified by the work; able to translate a technical scope into a defensible commercial judgement</li><li>Solution and Systems Architecture: 10 or more years in technology delivery with a minimum 5 years in a solution or systems architecture role for enterprise operational platforms</li><li>Integration and Connectivity: Strong practical experience with integration architecture, API design, and airline connectivity standards (ONE Record, Cargo-XML, EDI, IATA messaging)</li><li>Platform Convergence: Demonstrated experience consolidating or rationalising a multi-system estate, including migration sequencing and footprint reduction</li><li>Vendor Engagement: Proven experience evaluating and challenging platform vendors on architecture, integration, and total cost</li><li>Cross-Regional Delivery: Experience operating across APAC, EMEA, and Americas with the cultural fluency to navigate regional system ownership and variation</li><li>Sector Experience: Aviation, cargo, logistics, or other 24/7/365 operational environment strongly preferred</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead development teams through all phases of the Agile development life cycle.</li><li>Coach and mentor junior talent, including pair-programming and reviewing AIgenerated code with engineering judgment.</li><li>Influence and collaborate with software developers, UX designers, product managers, application architects, and customer application experts to create</li><li>amazing apps.</li><li>Champion responsible adoption of AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) on the team—setting prompt patterns, distinguishing AI Skills</li><li>(deterministic capabilities) from Agents (autonomous, multi-step workflows), and following company guidance for data handling, PII protection, IP compliance, and code provenance in regulated financial services contexts.</li><li>Ensure compliance with architecture, security, and technology standards set by company.</li><li>Participate in addressing root cause analyses, incident reports, and provide direction in problem resolution.</li><li>Ability to analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, and implement fixes.</li><li>Provide 24x7 on-call support periodically throughout the year.</li><li>Identify ways to increase efficiency and improve system performance, including by piloting AI tools and agentic workflows for repetitive engineering tasks.</li><li>Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into company products.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years in full stack development with a strong focus on JavaScript (React JS in particular) OR, in lieu of degree, with 7 years of experience in the same.</li><li>Hands-on experience using at least one AI coding assistant (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) as part of regular development workflow.</li><li>Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Redux, Styled-Components, and RTL or Cypress.</li><li>Familiarity with AI-native concepts—RAG patterns, vector databases, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and agent orchestration—and how they differ from</li><li>traditional architecture.</li><li>Awareness of the open-source AI tooling ecosystem (Continue.dev, Aider, Cline, Ollama).
