Responsibilities: <ul><li>The Professional, Platform Engineering job maintains and partners to design and develop digital technology infrastructure to support information technology applications and services.</li><li>With limited supervision, this job collaborates with cross functional teams to implement new software features to meet user needs and business goals and upgrade existing platforms to improve performance and functionality through writing clean, efficient and scalable code and troubleshooting and debugging moderately complex issues.</li><li>This job also participates in code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge with platform engineering team members.&nbsp;</li><li>SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: Partners to design and develop high quality software solutions by writing clean, maintainable and efficient codes.&nbsp;</li><li>AUTOMATION: Applies internal software deployment platform, continuous integration or continuous delivery pipeline and twelve factor development methodology to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.</li><li>COLLABORATION: Partners with cross functional team of product managers, designers and other engineers to gather moderately complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.</li><li>TESTING &amp; DEBUGGING: Writes and maintains moderately complex unit tests and integration tests, and performs debugging to maintain the quality and performance of the software, applying test driven development as needed.</li><li>CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Identifies and suggests options for improving the software development and deployment processes, and implements the approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.</li><li>DOCUMENTATION: Drafts and maintains comprehensive documentation for moderately complex software applications, deployment processes and system configurations.</li><li>TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Provides technical support and troubleshooting for moderately complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.</li><li>Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.</li><li>Preferred Qualifications</li><li>Proficient in JavaScript, Java and Python</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>You will be part of the Software Platforms Teams, working on the development of in-house cybersecurity device software development for Industrial networks.&nbsp;</li><li>You will be building Firewall software for industrial routers which are complex multicore, multi-threaded software systems supporting high-availability, hundreds of network protocols and delivering high throughput packet forwarding.</li><li>Building brand new products, supporting new features, feature enhancements and sustenance of products across the R&amp;D product portfolio, using device software running on hardware.</li><li>Designing embedded systems and selecting appropriate hardware components.</li><li>Developing low-level software to interact with hardware (device drivers, hardware abstraction layers).</li><li>Implementing real-time operating system (RTOS) features or bare-metal code.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>3-15 years’ experience in a product-based organization developing embedded software for Enterprise, Industrial Automation or Service Providers industry.</li><li>Fundamental level understanding of embedded systems architecture, including microcontrollers, microprocessors, and real-time operating systems.</li><li>Ability to work on complex modular software systems, algorithms and be able to design, code, debug and automate software.</li><li>Good knowledge in C/C++ programming, data structures, Algorithms &amp; debugging tools.</li><li>Good knowledge in Linux based environment, with extensive knowledge of Linux Internals.</li><li>Some hands-on operating systems, IPCs &amp; multi-thread programming experience.</li><li>Advanced working level knowledge of Computer networks and Network protocols in TCP/IP, switching (L2), routing (L3) &amp; security protocols.</li><li>Ability to work with existing code base.</li><li>Hands-on experience in Versioning and Git/GitHub/Bitbucket repository.</li><li>Experience with Unit test strategy and execution.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with Python or equivalent scripting languages</li><li>Experience with packet generating and network test tools.&nbsp;</li></ul>

About role <ul><li>As a Manager, Embedded Software Engineering, you will be responsible for managing Platform developments requiring software development (embedded software, firmware) for the sensor products to grow the sensors portfolio serving the Industrial &amp; Medical markets.&nbsp;</li><li>This leader will build and lead a high-performing team of engineers that will engage with Global and Regional Engineering Teams in various Centers of Expertise all around the world.</li><li>The Manager, Embedded Software Engineering will engage and work with internal cross-functional engineering teams across the globe as well collaborate with internal and external technical partners of engineering teams/NPI teams. He/She will need to be comfortable, experienced, and adept working across time zones, geographical and organizational boundaries as well as ambiguity.</li><li>The Manager, Embedded Software Engineering will leverage a structured and systematic approach, applying best practices and Lean Product Development principles such as Front Loading, Risk Detection &amp; Countermeasures and Set Based Concurrent Engineering … all to ensure programs meet technical, performance &amp; product cost requirements, are completed on time and within the project budget.</li><li>The ideal candidate would be a highly experienced leader with vast experience developing and successfully delivering software in the industrial or medical markets, former Senior Design Engineer/Technologist, or a Senior Software Architect.&nbsp;</li><li>Also having experience of design for functional safety applications in Lean Product Development and DFSS frameworks, he/she can be proficient in IEC 61508 Functional Safety Standards. The Manager, Embedded Software Engineering, will bring know-how in CI/CD and highly efficient/automized agile developing processes&nbsp;</li></ul> Responsibilities: <ul><li>Leading IMS Sensor software development team, mainly working on software architecture, System and Software Design, Software development, CI/CD and Testing. Analyzing and elicit stakeholder (internal/external) requirements to generate software requirement.</li><li>Leading all aspects of the software development life cycle:</li><li>Requirements capture</li><li>Feasibility study and architecture definition</li><li>Software design and implementation</li><li>Integration and unit/validation testing</li><li>Ensure the link between the SW architecture and the SW development</li><li>&nbsp;Facilitate collaboration with international development teams</li><li>Leader of the software project team to develop new products/processes using DFSS tools &amp; techniques and software metrics</li><li>He/She will have to perform architecture and requirement review, challenging their consistency, maturing change request, and analyzing their risks and impacts</li><li>Work with hardware and project team to propose the hardware / software roadmap for the future, enabling SIL and cost reduction.
