Role Description: <ul><li>The Director, People &amp; Culture is responsible for leading the People &amp; Culture function across Tanzania hospitality properties, including Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club, Arumeru River Lodge and Emerson Zanzibar.</li><li>The role is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of People &amp; Culture strategies, initiatives and operational support that enable exceptional employee and guest experiences while supporting the achievement of business objectives.</li></ul> Responsibilities: <ul><li>Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning &amp; Onboarding&nbsp;-Lead end-to-end talent acquisition activities across Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club, Arumeru River Lodge and Emerson Zanzibar, ensuring the business attracts, selects and retains high-quality talent capable of delivering exceptional guest and employee experiences.</li></ul> <ul><li>Employee Relations, Investigations &amp; Case Management -Lead the management of employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary processes, investigations, workplace conflict, performance concerns, misconduct cases and attendance management across the Tanzania hospitality properties.</li></ul> <ul><li>Leadership Partnership &amp; People Advisory&nbsp;- Act as the primary People &amp; Culture advisor to Operation Leaders, departmental leaders and managers, providing practical guidance on employee management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations and leadership development.</li></ul> <ul><li>Employee Engagement, Culture &amp; Employee Experience&nbsp;-Lead the implementation of employee engagement initiatives that strengthen organizational culture, improve the employee experience and reinforce our client values and expected behaviours across the Tanzania hospitality properties</li></ul> <ul><li>Performance Management, Goal Setting &amp; STIP&nbsp;- Lead performance management processes across Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club, Arumeru River Lodge and Emerson Zanzibar, including objective setting, probation reviews, performance evaluations, development planning, performance improvement initiatives and the administration of the Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP).</li></ul> <ul><li>HR Operations &amp; Employee Lifecycle Management&nbsp;- Lead the effective management of employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, confirmations, promotions, transfers, remuneration changes, employee records management, employee relations administration and exits across the Tanzania hospitality properties.</li></ul> <ul><li>Talent Reviews, Succession Planning &amp; Leadership Development&nbsp;- Lead talent review and succession planning processes across the Tanzania hospitality properties, identifying high-potential employees, critical roles and development opportunities that strengthen organizational capability and leadership continuity.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Strong knowledge of strategic Human Resources management practices.</li><li>Strong knowledge of talent acquisition, workforce planning and organizational development.</li><li>Experience leading employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary processes and conflict resolution.</li><li>Strong knowledge of performance management, talent reviews, succession planning and leadership development.</li><li>Understanding of Tanzanian labour legislation and employment practices.</li><li>Strong stakeholder management, coaching and influencing capability.</li><li>Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.</li><li>Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving capability.&nbsp;</li></ul> Qualification &amp; Job Experience <ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Hospitality Management or a related field.</li><li>Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development is an added advantage.</li><li>Professional Human Resources qualification (CHRP, CIPD, SHRM or equivalent).</li><li>Minimum of 10 years progressive Human Resources experience.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership or Business Partner capacity.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Responsibilities: Regional Sales Management Key Activities:&nbsp; <ul><li>Comprehensive understanding of customer’s market dynamic, regulatory environment, channel structure, segment trends, competitive environment and decision making network in Latin America.</li><li>Develop relationships with customers, prospects and participate in key customer meetings with Regional Sales team.</li><li>Identify and penetrate white-space markets where Our client has limited or no presence, creating a country-by-country access strategy for priority accounts, channels, and decision makers.</li><li>Generate new business and manage the full sales activity to maximize sales opportunities.</li><li>Engage with key accounts and maintain effective customer relationships.</li><li>Provide insights and updates on customers, prospects, market access barriers, competitor positioning, pricing and regional growth opportunities .</li></ul> Sales Planning and Market Development Key Activities: <ul><li>Promote our client value proposition and market presence in priority Latin America countries, with particular focus on underpenetrated and high-potential white-space markets.</li><li>Promote and sell our client solutions by establishing key contracts and developing relationships with target customers.</li><li>Build and maintain a regional stakeholder map covering manufacturers, converters, distributors, tobacco/nicotine industry contacts, packaging players, agents, and other relevant commercial stakeholders.</li><li>Generate new enquiries from existing customers, prospecting of new customers.</li><li>Identify and create new opportunities and pipelines to deliver growth in revenue and profitability.</li><li>Conduct customer preparation and market segmentation matrix</li><li>Perform market trend analysis and competitor activity in the region</li><li>Present relevant products and participate in regional sales meetings</li><li>Translate informal market signals into commercial strategies, including demand capture, customer education, channel selection</li></ul> Performance Management Key Activities: <ul><li>Monitor performance against the annual plan, pipeline targets, opportunity conversion and white space market entry and penetration through salesforce.</li><li>Monthly customers performance progress tracking against monthly forecast and budget&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with customers to provide forecast and demand.</li><li>Create and execute actions to address underperformance and stimulate sales activity.</li><li>Identify underperformance root causes by country, account, channel, pricing, access, supply, or competitive factor, and execute corrective actions.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Existing commercial network in Latin America, ideally including tobacco manufacturers, packaging/converting companies, distributors, agents, or related industry stakeholders.</li><li>Experience in tobacco, nicotine, or adjacent regulated industries is strongly preferred. Candidates from tobacco leaf, cigarette manufacturing, filters, packaging, paper, machinery, distribution, or trade-marketing environments may be particularly relevant.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering, Business, or Marketing).</li><li>10 years of industrial B2B technical sales experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.</li><li>Fluent in English and Spanish. Responsibilities Target State Architecture and Convergence <ul><li>Define and maintain the target state architecture for cargo management systems across the global network, covering platform selection, consolidation, integration, and retirement</li><li>Produce a roadmap that sequences how regional systems (Cargospot, COSYS+, ePic) move toward an agreed target, with clear architectural rationale for each decision</li><li>Document and govern architecture decisions to ensure transparency, consistency, and auditability</li><li>Maintain a current-state map of the platform estate, including capability overlap, integration debt, and footprint reduction opportunities</li></ul> Integration, Connectivity, and Data Architecture <ul><li>Define integration standards and patterns for cargo systems, including airline connectivity (ONE Record, Cargo-XML, EDI), messaging, and API design</li><li>Set the data architecture for the cargo estate so that operational, customer, and commercial data flows are consistent and reusable across stations</li><li>Establish interoperability requirements between cargo management systems and adjacent platforms</li><li>Govern the technical aspects of customer-specific connectivity so that customer requests are met without fragmenting the core platform</li></ul> Change Order Validation and Cost Governance <ul><li>Review and validate every material change order raised against the cargo management systems are justified by the actual scope of work</li><li>Assess the technical complexity of each change order independently to challenge vendor proposals where required</li><li>Challenge inflated, padded, or over-scoped change orders, and provide documented technical rationale of its decisions</li><li>Distinguish change orders that reflect genuine new scope from those that should fall within existing contractual obligations or standard product, protecting the network from avoidable cost</li><li>Maintain a defensible record of change-order assessments so that platform spend is traceable and auditable, and patterns of vendor over-scoping are visible to leadership</li></ul> Standards, Governance, and Technical Authority <ul><li>Own the architectural standards that regional implementations are held against, and run the technical review of material platform changes</li><li>Provide architectural input into product governance</li><li>Ensure vendor solution designs align with target architecture or introduce avoidable lock-in</li><li>Partner with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture functions to ensure cargo platform architecture meets security, audit, and regulatory requirements</li></ul> Delivery Partnership and Advisory <ul><li>Act as the senior technical advisor to the Digital Product Management function, translating strategic direction into an executable systems blueprint</li><li>Support platform evaluations and proofs of concept with rigorous technical assessment</li><li>Provide architectural guidance to regional technology teams during implementation, migration, and cutover</li><li>Communicate architecture clearly and plainly to non-technical leadership; state platform status honestly as live, in build, in pilot, or proposed</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline required; postgraduate qualification preferred</li><li>Recognised enterprise architecture certification valued: TOGAF 9.2 or equivalent</li><li>Cargo Systems Domain (required): Deep, hands-on knowledge of cargo management systems and the cargo handling business is essential and non-negotiable for this role; ideally across more than one of Cargospot, COSYS+, or ePic, with a clear understanding of how these systems are used at station level in export, import, and special-handling flows.</li><li>This knowledge is the basis on which the role validates change orders and holds the architectural line</li><li>Change Order and Cost Assessment: Demonstrated ability to assess vendor change orders on cost, man-hour estimate, and technical complexity, and to challenge estimates that are not justified by the work; Responsibilities: HC Digital Strategy &amp; Business Partnership <ul><li>Act as the HC technology lead, engaging directly with HC senior leadership to define and sustain the HC digital vision and roadmap</li><li>Lead the strategic transformation from fragmented regional HC platforms to a unified Group-level solution</li><li>Advise HC executives on platform strategy, vendor alternatives, AI adoption, and investment trade offs</li></ul> Product &amp; Portfolio Leadership <ul><li>Lead, coach, and supervise HC Product Managers, ensuring clarity of accountability and consistent delivery</li><li>Oversee HC products including SAP SuccessFactors, all related regional tenants, and any additional HC Corporate Systems or Centres of Expertise</li><li>Ensure functional coverage of key HC modules, including - Core HR, Performance &amp; Goals, Succession &amp; Talent, Learning Management (LMS), Compensation, Recruiting &amp; Onboarding, and Related integrations and data flows</li></ul> Technology &amp; Partner Selection <ul><li>Lead technology evaluation, vendor comparison, and partner selection activities for HC solutions</li><li>Ensure IT standards compliance in close coordination with Enterprise Architecture, Data, Integration, and Cybersecurity teams</li><li>Ensure selected solutions support scalability, compliance, and innovation (including AI capabilities)</li></ul> Implementation Orchestration &amp; Transformation Delivery <ul><li>Orchestrate complex HC transformation programs, including tenant consolidation, migrations, and phased rollouts</li><li>Coordinate Product Managers, PMO, system integrators, and vendors across regions</li><li>Actively manage interdependencies, risks, and critical milestones</li><li>Step into direct delivery or leadership roles when program complexity or resourcing requires it</li></ul> AI, Innovation &amp; Capability Enablement <ul><li>Drive adoption of AI capabilities across key HC processes, including (but not limited to): Talent identification and skills intelligence, Learning personalisation, Workforce insights and predictive analytics, and Recruitment screening and experience enhancement</li><li>Ensure responsible, secure, and value-driven use of AI, aligned with Group data and ethics principles</li></ul> Governance &amp; Standards Compliance <ul><li>Ensure all HC solutions comply with Group Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity and data protection, and Integration and interoperability standards</li><li>Act as a key governance authority for HC design decisions in coordination with Group Design Authorities</li></ul> Operational Oversight &amp; Evolution <ul><li>Define and oversee HC operating models, including ownership, support, and escalation paths</li><li>Support Product Managers in structuring support models, release management, and vendor governance</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.</li><li>Certifications in HR platforms, enterprise architecture, program management, or AI/data are advantageous.</li><li>Senior experience leading Human Capital technology transformations, preferably with SAP SuccessFactors in multi tenant or multi region environments. 3-5 years.</li><li>Additional expertise and experience in market HC technology references as Workday is also an asset.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing or consolidating large HC landscapes (Core HR, Talent, Learning, Compensation, Recruiting).</li><li>Proven ability to evaluate and compare HC platforms (e.g. SuccessFactors vs Workday).</li><li>Strong understanding of AI applications in HC and digital workforce enablement.</li><li>Experience leading teams of Product Managers or Solution Owners in global organisations.</li><li>Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, integrations, data governance, and cybersecurity in HC systems.</li><li>Ability to operate credibly at both strategic and execution levels</li></ul>
