Major Projects Director

Responsibilities: Customer relationship and account management: <ul><li>Act as the primary interface between and STEA (Strategic Enterprise Accounts) within the Area.</li><li>Manage and develop relationships at both Area and FL levels, ensuring close collaboration with the Global Account Head, local Key Account Managers and BL sales development directors.</li><li>Develop strong C-suite relationship which may be fostered across Area and Global level executive leadership team and EXB-1.</li><li>Execute and oversee Area-specific account plans, ensuring they are aligned with Global strategies and tailored to meet regional customer needs.</li><li>Lead efforts to strengthen position as a Trusted Partner of Choice through all phases of the customer lifecycle, including new installations, service, and modernization.</li><li>Oversee agreement deployment across the Area, maximizing opportunities and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.</li><li>Generate a clear understanding of the customer’s web of influence.</li><li>Proactively manage escalations and address customer issues, promoting strong collaboration and service excellence.</li><li>Monitor and ensure that appropriate governance structures are in place for effective account management.</li><li>Host regular webinars to build the brand within the Area.</li><li>Represent at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to strengthen relationships, promote offerings, and expand networks.</li><li>Actively participate in and support customer-focused events and marketing initiatives to raise brand awareness and generate new leads.</li></ul> Sales and growth management: <ul><li>Drive sales growth by actively managing the opportunity pipeline and sales funnel, ensuring that the account portfolio is well-positioned for both short- and long-term success.</li><li>Lead tenders and negotiations at the Area level, working closely with Global and local teams to ensure successful outcomes.</li><li>Establish oversight processes to track and monitor key opportunities and projects.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategies that drive customer value and account profitability.</li><li>Identify innovation pilot sites in collaboration with the Global Innovation and Global Business Development teams, and lead to full development stage and potential scale.</li><li>Maintain a strong understanding of competitive dynamics and industry trends to position effectively in the marketplace.</li></ul> Performance and financial oversight: <ul><li>Track, analyze, and report on Area-level KPIs, focusing on OR/sales growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and overall account health.</li><li>Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance across all business lines, ensuring profitability and compliance with targets.</li><li>Ensure effective management of billing, debt collection, contract administration, and Area-level spend reporting (including rebates when not coordinated by Global).</li></ul> Operational and asset management: <ul><li>Implement and oversee Asset Management Plans, ensuring they meet customer needs and maximize the value of customer assets.</li><li>Support ad hoc contractual requirements, such as condition reports, additional testing, and inspections.</li><li>Ensure smooth operational execution, including customer-specific contractual tasks and compliance with agreed-upon deliverables.</li><li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient deployment and maintenance of customer assets, identifying opportunities for operational improvements and cost optimization.</li></ul> Leadership and collaboration: <ul><li>Lead and coach FL Key Account Managers, in a matrix, ensuring alignment with Area strategies and fostering cross-functional collaboration.</li><li>Facilitate information sharing and coordination between Global, Area, and FL teams to ensure transparency and strategic alignment.</li><li>Drive brand visibility within the STEA at the Area level, focusing on strategic initiatives such as digital, sustainability, and innovation.</li></ul> ﻿Requirements: <ul><li>10 years direct experience in global account in the area/ region</li><li>Experience working in building industry or building maintenance</li><li>Excellent leadership &amp; customer relationship management</li></ul>

Responsibilities: Safety and Quality: <ul><li>Proactively drive outstanding performance in Safety and Quality in the Major Project Business, including New Building Solutions and Modernization Businesses.</li></ul> Customers: <ul><li>Drive and promote customer-centric culture with outside-in thinking in the business by intimate understanding of the customer and market needs.</li><li>Ensure early involvement with the customer in selling process and consultative selling approach with key stakeholders including, Developers, Architects and Consultants</li></ul> Drive solution selling across the Area: <ul><li>Promote utilization of voice of customer throughout the business Business performance</li><li>Holistic understanding, accountability and development of whole Major Project Business&nbsp;competitiveness, growth and profitability in full chain.</li><li>Evaluate the results of Major Project Business activities/contracts and identify recurring problems.</li><li>Establish Area level management practices driving key initiatives and programs for the Major&nbsp;Project Business. This includes share of market, OR growth, CMII, pricing and pre-to-post&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul> performance: <ul><li>Prepare recommendations and feedback about significant changes that need to be made to&nbsp;Offering portfolio and company Way operating model elements (i.e., processes, roles,&nbsp;</li><li>organization, IT tools, data, governance, business performance management) to improve efficient&nbsp;&nbsp;performance.</li><li>Collaborate with key Front Line leaders including Managing Director, MP head, NBS and&nbsp;&nbsp;Modernization directors as well as other functions such as operations to develop and achieve targets and close gaps across the Area.</li><li>Set Area level targets and plans aligned with global and Area ambitions.</li><li>Drive short and long-term competitiveness based on global company strategy.</li><li>Full-chain accountability of Major Projects Business competitiveness, growth and profitability.</li></ul> Business Development: <ul><li>Drive the Major Project Business sales and offering development and go-to-market actions in&nbsp;collaboration with other business stakeholders</li><li>Collaborate across the business for best practice sharing</li><li>Ensure compliance with business operating model and effective deployment of company Way&nbsp;&nbsp;Initiatives</li><li>Leadership / People management with team guidance and coaching</li><li>Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level to develop and&nbsp;implement a strategy for Major Project Business that is aligned with the organization’s overall</li><li>vision&nbsp;and its current and long-term business objectives</li><li>Lead, evaluate, and develop the Major Project Business team and its professionals at Area and FL&nbsp;&nbsp;Level</li><li>Identify competence gaps and training needs to fulfil the business plan</li><li>Identify and develop key resources required to support early engagement, bid and execution&nbsp;</li><li>support including Customer Solution Managers and Infrastructure specialists</li></ul> Project Management – Major Projects: <ul><li>Guide and Support the Major Project PMO leader to own the Area Project Management&nbsp;&nbsp;Governance model with ongoing development and deployment</li><li>Assess and develop project management competence</li><li>Develop and coach Project Management people to effectively lead major projects with a focus on&nbsp;customer communication, quality, profit improvement and on-time delivery</li><li>Support FLs to identify and manage Project Management resources Leadership / People management</li><li>Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level to develop and&nbsp;&nbsp;implement a strategy for Major Project Business that is aligned with the organization’s overall&nbsp;</li><li>vision and its current and long-term business objectives</li><li>Lead, evaluate, and develop the Major Project Business team and its professionals at Area and FL&nbsp;&nbsp;Level</li><li>Identify competence gaps and training needs to fulfil the business plan</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Approximately 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years of operating as a leader in an Area or large frontline</li><li>Track record in driving revenue growth and profitability by acquiring new customers and develop new businesses with existing clients.</li><li>Experience in pursuing and winning major construction projects.</li><li>A collaborative leader who appreciates teamwork across functions and regions.</li><li>Sound understanding of financial reports</li><li>Ability to impart knowledge to the frontlines / countries</li></ul>
