involved from the inception of projects, understanding requirements, designing & developing solutions, and incorporating them into the designs of our platforms.Mentor team members on technology and best practices.Build and maintain strong relationships between DataOps Engineering and our Technology teams.Contribute to the open-source community and maintain excellent knowledge of the technical landscape for data & cloud tooling.Assist in troubleshooting issues, support the operation of production software.Write technical documentation.Requirements:8 + years of hands-on experience in Java.Experience in building Order and Execution Management, Trading systems are ideal.A depth understanding of concurrent programming and experience in designing high throughput, high availability, fault-tolerant distributed applications is required.Expertise in building distributed applications using NoSQL technologies like Cassandra, coordination services like Zookeeper, and microservices architecture / SOA is required.Experience in message-oriented middleware architecture is required.Knowledge of UI components including swing, web technologies is required.Understanding relational databases is a must.Strong analytical and software architecture design skills with an emphasis on test-driven development.Experience in programming languages such as Scala, python would be a plus.Experience in using streaming technologies like spark streaming or storm would be a plus.Experience in using Project Management methodologies such as Agile/ScrumExpected to drive the growth of the trading platform through performance, stability, usability, and new investment product capabilities.Effective communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) are required.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.2+ years of hands-on developer experience of object-oriented design pattern knowledge and implementation experience using Python or Java.Knowledge of workflow management frameworks such as Dask/Airflow is a plus.Knowledge in SQL and experience working with relational databases (Sybase, SQL Server).BA/BS in Computer Science or Mathematics-related field from an accredited university.The ability to apply mathematics, machine learning, or quantitative analysis to tackle complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and an inclination to validate everything.Knowledge and experience adhering to software development standard methodologies including test-driven development (TDD), unit testing discipline, agile development, and CI/CD strategies.A genuine interest in investment strategies, risk, equities, fixed income, or financial derivatives;Experience with cloud technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, S3, Kubernetes is a plus.5 + in an SRE/DevOps role, or related IT or operations field.Passion for engineering highly available performant systems.Experience with Cloud Native platforms, both hosted and on-prem (AWS or AZURE).Experience working closely with Systems Engineers and Technology teams.Working knowledge of building and deploying distributed systems.Experience with scriptings such as Python or Ruby.Good understanding/experience with languages such as Go/Scala/Java.Experience with software deployment and orchestration technologies such as Helm, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, etc.Experience supporting database or datastores e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Ignite, Hadoop, S3.Experience in messaging and streaming platforms such as NATS or Kafka.Experience in creating and evolving CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or Github following GitOps principles.Experience in security fundamentals.Experience in troubleshooting and system administration tasks in Linux or Unix.
