Role Description: <ul><li>The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for the leadership, performance and operational excellence of Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Clubs portfolio of safari lodges, camps, safari businesses and future hospitality ventures.</li><li>Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer – Hospitality &amp; Conservation, the role has executive accountability for the day-to-day and long-term performance of the Companys operations, ensuring exceptional safari and hospitality experiences, consistently high accommodation and service standards, effective asset management, operational efficiency and sustainable profitability across the portfolio.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations translates the Companys strategy and commercial commitments into operational execution. The role ensures that what the Company sells is consistently and successfully delivered across every stage of the guest journey, from reservation handover and pre-arrival preparation through accommodation, safari experiences, on-property services and departure.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations is accountable for operational delivery, on-ground sales and trade relationships in market, guest conversion and on-property revenue and expense management.</li></ul> Responsibilities&nbsp; 1. Safari Business, Hospitality &amp; Guest Experience – 20% <ul><li>Provide executive leadership for Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Clubs safari business and hospitality operations across the portfolio.</li><li>Ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional safari, accommodation and hospitality experiences across all lodges, camps and safari operations.</li><li>Take executive accountability for the operational delivery of the complete guest journey, from reservation handover and pre-arrival preparation through arrival, accommodation, safari activities and departure.</li><li>Provide executive oversight of accommodation, front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, guiding, game drives, guest activities, safari logistics, fleet operations, maintenance, engineering and operational support services.</li><li>Establish and maintain clear operating and service standards across the portfolio while allowing properties to retain appropriate authenticity and sense of place.</li></ul> 3. Commercial Delivery, On-Ground Sales &amp; Financial Stewardship – 15% <ul><li>Take accountability for the operational delivery of the Companys commercial strategy across safari operations, lodges and camps.</li><li>Build and maintain strong on-ground relationships with tour operators, travel agents, DMCs, trade partners, corporate clients and other relevant market stakeholders.</li><li>Drive upselling and on-property revenue opportunities across accommodation, food and beverage, safari activities, transfers, retail and ancillary services.</li><li>Ensure operational teams understand and effectively deliver commercial campaigns, packages, products and commitments developed by the Commercial function.</li></ul> 4. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Continuously monitor security consoles and dashboards (SIEM, EDR, etc.) for suspicious activity; triage alerts to identify valid security incidents versus false positives and prioritize response based on asset criticality and business risk.</li><li>Investigate suspicious activities and security events, determine the scope and severity of incidents, and gather relevant evidence. Perform root cause analysis to identify attack vectors and affected systems.</li><li>Execute incident response actions end-to-end – including timely containment of threats, eradication of malicious artifacts, and system recovery – following the organization’s incident response plan. Coordinate with IT infrastructure, application owners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective remediation of incidents.</li><li>Proactively hunt for indicators of compromise and hidden threats in logs, network traffic, and endpoint telemetry, even without specific alerts. Prepare incident reports and contribute to post-incident review meetings, highlighting what occurred, how it was resolved, and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.</li><li>Assist in developing and updating incident response playbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base documentation. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting &amp; Accounting: <ul><li>Manage month-end close and reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.</li><li>Prepare and review profit &amp; loss statements, overhead reports, and variance analyses.</li><li>Ensure accuracy of financial postings across accounts and cost centers.</li><li>Review balance sheet reconciliations and proactively identify potential risks and issues.</li><li>Support statutory reporting requirements and annual financial statement preparation.</li><li>Coordinate tax-related reporting and compliance activities.</li><li>Support internal and external audit processes.</li></ul> Financial Planning &amp; Analysis: <ul><li>Consolidate regional financial results and management reporting across multiple markets.</li><li>Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes.</li><li>Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to management.</li><li>Identify key risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.</li><li>Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and financial analyses to support decision-making.</li><li>Provide financial insights on business trends and operational performance.</li></ul> Business Partnering: <ul><li>Act as a key finance contact for regional and local stakeholders.</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams to collect, validate, and analyze financial data.</li><li>Support alignment of financial assumptions, planning processes, and reporting requirements across markets.</li><li>Present financial information and performance updates to management teams.</li><li>Drive continuous process improvements and promote best practices across the finance function.</li><li>Support regional transformation initiatives, systems implementations, and ad hoc projects.</li></ul> Requirements: Experience: <ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.</li><li>Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, FP&amp;A, Accounting, or Commercial Finance.</li><li>Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent.</li><li>Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting.</li><li>Audit, tax, or statutory reporting experience is advantageous.</li><li>Experience working in a regional or multinational environment is preferred.</li></ul> Skills &amp; Competencies: <ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint.</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.</li><li>Effective time management and prioritization skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.</li></ul>

Responsibilities: Application Development: <ul><li>Design, develop, test, deploy, and support web applications using Angular/AngularJS, Python, and modern full stack technologies.</li><li>Build responsive, high-performing, and user-friendly web interfaces.</li><li>Develop and maintain backend services, business logic, RESTful APIs, and system integrations.</li><li>Integrate applications with databases, enterprise platforms, and third-party systems.&nbsp;</li></ul> Solution Design: <ul><li>Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.</li><li>Prepare technical designs, system workflows, and application specifications.</li><li>Contribute to technical design discussions and recommend scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with established architecture standards.</li><li>Support the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies and development approaches.</li></ul> System Integration &amp; Database Management: <ul><li>Develop and maintain secure REST APIs and system integrations.</li><li>Design, optimize, and support relational databases and SQL queries.</li><li>Ensure secure, accurate, and reliable data processing across applications.</li><li>Monitor and optimize application, API, and database performance.</li></ul> Quality Assurance &amp; Testing: <ul><li>Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and defect resolution activities.</li><li>Participate in code reviews and quality improvement initiatives.</li><li>Support user acceptance testing, release validation, and production deployments.</li><li>Contribute to automated testing and continuous integration practices where applicable.</li></ul> Application Support &amp; Continuous Improvement: <ul><li>Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution of incidents and defects.</li><li>Monitor application performance, availability, and operational health.</li><li>Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve application functionality, performance, maintainability, and user experience.</li></ul> Agile Delivery &amp; Collaboration: <ul><li>Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.</li><li>Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Project Managers, and cross-functional technical teams.</li><li>Provide effort estimates and technical input to support project planning and delivery commitments.</li><li>Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and technical recommendations to stakeholders.</li></ul> Security &amp; Development Standards: <ul><li>Follow secure software development practices and organizational security requirements.</li><li>Ensure applications comply with data privacy, security, audit, and compliance standards.</li><li>Adhere to coding standards, code review processes, and development best practices.</li><li>Support vulnerability remediation and application security improvements.</li></ul> Documentation &amp; Compliance; <ul><li>Maintain technical documentation, support guides, and system specifications.</li><li>Document application configurations, enhancements, integrations, and support procedures.</li><li>Ensure solutions are developed in accordance with organizational policies, standards, and governance requirements.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>3+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Angular or AngularJS for web application development.</li><li>Strong experience in API development and integration, with the ability to develop, consume, test, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs.</li><li>Good working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with a solid understanding of modern web application development practices.</li><li>Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including database queries and data handling.</li><li>Proficiency with Git/version control and good understanding of software development lifecycle, debugging, testing, and collaboration with cross-functional development teams.</li><li>Experience with Python development for backend services</li></ul>
