Responsibilities: <ul><li>Act as the initial point of contact for the customer’s local engineering group.</li><li>Serve as the technical interface between the customer’s engineers and internal engineering teams on all existing products, as well as focus on new product development opportunities.</li><li>Actively contribute to new product development opportunities, with the ability to provide conceptual design modeling.</li><li>Interact directly with key customers daily and coordinate deliverables related to customer projects, including new products, modifications to existing products, test studies, signal integrity modeling, and other development efforts.</li><li>Establish relationships with key customer engineering contacts and decision-makers.</li><li>Gain a solid understanding of the customer’s product set and future roadmap.</li><li>Gain a solid understanding of internal product offerings and future roadmap.</li><li>Use Voice of Customer (VOC) tools to understand customer technology requirements.</li><li>Understand the customer’s strategic direction and connectivity needs and communicate them internally to initiate projects.</li><li>Support a cross-functional, global team specific to the customer, which may consist of Program Managers, Quality Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, and Sales.</li><li>Be involved in the early stages of the customer’s design cycle and new product/platform planning.</li><li>Work closely with internal engineering teams to ensure customer needs are met and serve as a conduit for information.</li><li>Represent and advocate for the customer.</li><li>Support existing applications and products, including tolerance analysis, application evaluation, and testing.</li></ul> Requirements: Qualifications &amp; Skills <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Systems discipline preferred).</li><li>4–8 years of engineering experience, preferably with connector knowledge.</li><li>Understanding of general manufacturing processes (stamping, molding, plating, automated product assembly) is desired.</li><li>Experience with development engineering and participation in the full product development cycle.</li><li>Knowledge of electronic components is preferred (connectors, electronic relays, wire &amp; cable).</li><li>Demonstrated ability to provide effective project leadership.</li><li>Strong organizational and prioritization skills.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate across all organizational levels.</li><li>Proficiency in computer applications, including 3D design software.</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel as required, mainly regionally.</li><li>Ability to work independently and take initiative.</li><li>Strong networking, influencing, and listening skills.</li><li>Experience reading and interpreting production-level drawings.</li><li>Ability to perform basic tolerance analysis.</li></ul>
