Job Overview:&nbsp; <ul><li>The Data and Devices Business Unit is looking for R&amp;D Product Development Engineer (PDE) to design and develop high speed cable assembly and connector which are used inside of switches, servers and storage for data communication.&nbsp;</li><li>In this role you will be responsible for the design and documentation of new products, from market definition through production and release, always prioritizing customer requirements and maintaining a customer service mindset.&nbsp;</li><li>You will conceive original ideas for new products/solutions and develop them into practical and economical models.&nbsp;</li><li>You will determine specifications, perform engineering analysis, make preliminary sketches and designs, and coordinate support operations (such as fabrication engineering samples and testing).&nbsp;</li><li>Interaction with customers, vendors, marketing and sales personnel, and other engineering areas during the pre-production stages of new products is also an important part of this role.&nbsp;</li></ul> Responsibilities:&nbsp; <ul><li>Responsible for product development of high-speed cable assembly, connector from market definition through production and release:&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with the customer and sales/SA/FAE/PM in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer) and convert to a design conceptualization and preliminary product specification.&nbsp;</li><li>Conceive concepts and perform feasibility studies.&nbsp;</li><li>Run mechanical and thermal simulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Make the engineering evaluation/proposal to the customer.&nbsp;</li><li>Create the detailed design including 2D/3D drawings and perform DFMEA/tolerance analysis.&nbsp;</li><li>Build prototype samples and perform validation.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide technical support to the Operations team including Quality and Production for efficiency improvement and safe launch.&nbsp;</li><li>Resolve product related issues to closure and manage the ECN/PCN (Engineering Change Notification/ Product Change Notification).&nbsp;</li><li>Build a deep understanding of the market and customer needs by fostering a connection between the business engineering teams and the customer engineering teams&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a system level understanding of the customer application and the product design/concept necessary for providing a solution to the customers’ expectation.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide technical support to customer, sales, PM and plant teams. Conduct necessary DFMEA, tests, engineering analysis, trouble shooting and verification.&nbsp;</li><li>Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet all company technical, quality, and cost objectives.&nbsp;</li><li>Execute technical documentation to fully detail design drawings and requirements, engineering and product change notices, and design history files.&nbsp;</li></ul> Requirements:&nbsp; <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience&nbsp;</li><li>5 years of relevant mechanical engineering work experience with electrical components, electrical devices, mechanical structure design, manufacturing tooling development (stamping, molding, assembly), or manufacturing process development&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge in socket design, connector design, or other relevant mechanic design and development.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity of switch and or server equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge in relevant mechanic design and development, including but not limited to, material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, product qualification, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency in 3D Design Applications (such as ProE or Spaceclaim)</li><li>Basic knowledge in raw material, industry standard, and product application&nbsp;</li><li>Basic knowledge in manufacturing process (machining, molding, stamping, plating, assembly, etc.)&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 6sigma, DOE, 8D, etc.)&nbsp;</li><li>Fluent in English (both verbal and written) to facilitate global communication both internally and with external customers.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in a global environment – able to accommodate varying time zones and capable of collaborating with individuals across geographies.&nbsp;</li><li>Open minded, coachable, willing to learn new skills, and motivated to grow.&nbsp;</li><li>This role emphasizes designing products that align closely with customer requirements, maintaining a proactive customer service mindset throughout the development process.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Job Overview:&nbsp; <ul><li>As a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer in the Signal Integrity team you will focus on working with customer to understand their SI requirement and collaborate with internal product team to work out cable/connector solution to satisfy customer SI requirement.&nbsp;</li><li>Targeting high speed communications and connectivity within datacenters and wireless infrastructure.&nbsp;</li><li>You will be expected to independently work on projects in the areas of signal integrity for product and system design including modeling, simulation, testing and circuit board layout.&nbsp;</li><li>You will work collaboratively within a broader cross functional team of mechanical, manufacturing, &amp; operations to execute leading edge products designs.&nbsp;</li><li>You will be the subject matter expert for the signal integrity performance of a product/platform beginning with the initial analysis through prototype fabrication &amp; evaluation, and production verification testing with customer projects. You will tackle challenging design problems and utilize simulation tools to guide complex designs toward success.&nbsp;</li></ul> Responsibilities:&nbsp; <ul><li>Establishing signal integrity design performance/functional requirements with customer for new products&nbsp;</li><li>Performing signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards on each product. This includes determining the correct simulation methodology and setup to use, as well as a good understanding of the criteria for each interface.&nbsp;</li><li>Performing PCB design schematic and layout reviews&nbsp;</li><li>This role emphasizes designing products that align closely with customer requirements, maintaining a proactive customer service mindset throughout the development process.&nbsp;</li><li>Present and demonstrate SI performance of product to customer.&nbsp;</li><li>Engaging customer SI engineer to collect SI requirement for new project.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with internal team to Solve SI issue at customer side.&nbsp;</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a signal integrity engineering role&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with interconnect design or experience with connector &amp;/or cable/cable assembly design (high speed twinax cables, direct attach copper (DAC) cables)&nbsp;</li><li>Signal integrity analysis tools (Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS or equivalent)&nbsp;</li><li>A solid understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior&nbsp;</li><li>Strong analytical capabilities to interpret simulation and lab data to identify issues and provide solutions to fix identified problem. • Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in a global environment – able to accommodate varying time zones, fluent in English (verbal/written), able to collaborate with individuals across geographies&nbsp;</li><li>Individual must be highly motivated, a quick learner, and able to work independently&nbsp;</li></ul>
