Process Automation Engineer - Optical & Transceiver Products

Responsibilities;

• Optical Coupling & Production: Conduct daily optical coupling production work for various optical modules and provide on-site technical support.
• Process Optimization: Improve coupling efficiency, product yield, and consistency while reducing production costs and defect rates.
• Failure Analysis: Diagnose coupling-related defects—such as optical power loss, coupling offset, glue failures, and fiber displacement—and establish preventive measures.
• NPI & Validation: Partner with R&D and quality teams to verify new products, materials, and processes, transitioning them into mass production.
• Conduct data analysis and process monitoring to identify opportunities for further automation and continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain documentation for automated processes, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards in all automation activities.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Optics, Optoelectronics, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials, or a related field (some senior levels require 7+ years of specialized experience in optics or semiconductor packaging).
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of optical module working principles, optical path transmission, and fiber coupling mechanisms.
• Hands-on Skills: Experience operating coupling equipment, performing fiber alignment adjustments, and calibrating optical power.
• Product Familiarity: Working knowledge of high-speed optical modules such as SFP, QSFP, OSFP, and 400G/800G systems is preferred
