Job description

Overview:


  • The Human Resources organization at is building a new Data group. 
  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Issues manager, to enter at the “ground floor” and contribute to the future organization. 
  • As Data Issues manager for HR Chief Data Officer (CDO), you will navigate global and cross functional needs, collaborate with Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO) and drive towards an ideal state of a mature data management program.
  • Reporting to the Head of Data Quality for HR CDO, you will demonstrate hands-on expertise in building and executing HR data issue management solutions to mitigate risks and to help ensure function-wide adoption of industry best practice. You will be responsible to implement the standardized Data Concern Remediation Process across the HR Organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the implementation of data governance initiatives including documenting enterprise data, managing data issues, and reporting/metrics
  • Partnering with business function leads in the data quality issue/defect management process, including maintaining a repository of issues for monitoring and filtering/triaging data concerns
  • Analyze data quality exceptions to identify root cause and business impact for data quality issues raised
  • Collaborate with data users, owners and enablers to assist with the implementation and adoption of tools necessary to build and run effective data management tools and processes
  • Enhance data quality process automation, governance and reporting
  • Prepare and present written and verbal updates to senior management

 

Requirements:


  • 6-10 years of relevant experience with a particular focus in the data, technology and/or operations space highly preferred
  • Experience in data governance and data management tools and concepts, and the ability to understand issues at both strategic and operational levels
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and apply data concepts may be considered in lieu of experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate moderately complex and variable issues and where the development of approach and action may involve consideration/weighing of various alternatives
  • Eagerness to learn, test and improve
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a large, matrixed organization
  • Strong stakeholder management, project management and organizational skills
  • Experience working on large scale projects and change initiatives preferred

 

Education:


  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience / Masters degree
