Job description
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for PV module technology selection and product evaluation.
- Reviewing new bids to check the PV modules technical requirements and identifies deviations for further communication with the client.
- Preparing project-specific technical specifications for PV module including requirements mentioned by the client in RFQ’s.
- Responsible for communicating with the module manufacturer on technical requirements and client’s deviation
- To review IEC test reports, IEC certificates, and various reports before the finalization of the module vendor for the project.
- To review and verify the BOM’s of the PV module with respect to IEC CDF for every project before the finalization of product and manufacturers
- To review production reports received from the third-party inspection agencies and provides feedbacks on various testing results to quality team for MDCC approval.
- Supporting Quality team in QAP preparation and in defining the various test plans, from manufacturing of PV modules to Site installations.
- Prepares guidelines and scope of work for third-party inspection agencies specific to projects, especially for inspection and testing of PV modules.
- Supporting PV module Quality team in various areas, like inspection and testing of PV modules at various levels of project.
- Keeping information about new technologies of PV module and its road map.
- To analyze PV module defects in case it is related to the product.
- To analyze laboratory test reports of PV modules tested against the special requirement (LeTID, LID, PID, Accelerated aging tests, etc.).
- Supporting the team in resolving technical queries raised by clients on the PV modules.
- To prepare a project-specific requirement list for module certificates, test reports & other required documents.
- To follow-up with the module manufacturer for IEC certificates of new products.
- To analyze PV module reports received from sites in case of failure of PV modules, for Hot spot, EL defect, BOM defects, low power etc.
- Responsible for BIS certification.
- Involved in BOM costing of module for new product development.
- Responsible to do various reliability tests in laboratory on PV Modules and its report preparation.
Requirements:
- Qualification should be Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering
- 8-10 years of experience
- Should have in-depth Experience with analytical analysis techniques in Solar Module manufacturing Technology, R&D, Engineering, Product development, Equipment’s & machinery Selection for PV manufacturing lines, PV Module Testing,
- PV Module Design, Pre-Sales Technical, Reliability lab testing, new laboratory setup, PV module defect analysis (Specially Electroluminescence, IV, Thermography, Material degradation, Environmental testing of product).
- Having in depth understanding of new technology PV modules, Bifacial, Mono PERC, TOPcon, N-type, Gallium doped cells, HJT, advanced interconnection technologies, new circuit designs etc. Having in depth expertise in PV module IV, EL, Thermography analysis, various reliability testing and degradation analysis.
- Having in depth knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) used in PV modules.
- Have worked on various International and domestic projects and having good exposures of PV module technical specifications.
- Have good knowledge on the various type of defects found in the PV modules, like defects related to EL image, Hot Spot, LeTID, PID, de-lamination etc
