Media Manager

Our client is an American multinational confectionery, food, holding and beverage and snack food company based in the US.

Overview:

• How you will contribute
• You will help execute the media strategy in your assigned area, business unit, country, or category. 
• In partnership with the marketing team, you will implement a media plan and assess the effectiveness of that plan with a focus on return on investment.
• You will also build relationship with agencies. 
• As a particularly advanced digital marketer, you will help drive our understanding and use of digital platforms in our marketing plans and be a source of learning and development for the wider marketing function.

Responsibilities:

• Media, including media buying and analytics, ideally gained across the agency and industry.
• Digital media ideally with exposure to eCommerce best practice
• Working with and influencing external partners, matrixed local, regional, and global stakeholders
• Develop content for dissemination via press releases, social media, websites, and other distribution channels
• Scan the media marketplace to keep up-to-date on the latest media trends
• Appropriately manage the organization’s media budget
• Negotiate with media channels to close competitive deals
• Having a test-and-learn mentality, taking learning and scaling them broadly.

Requirements:

• This role would be based in Petaling Jaya , Malaysia 
• This person would be handling 3 markets- Malaysia , Singapore & Thailand 
• Process management: Well-executed brand initiatives and effective collaboration with the other critical functions in the organization is a must
• Having a bias to action
• Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing
• Years of experience :- 7 to 10+ years 
• Good English communication skills 
• Reports to the consumer experience lead SEA
• Individual contributor role 
• No relocation of candidates 
• Experience in Media planning 
• Understanding cross media planning and how it can be done.
• Understanding of Malaysia media landscape
• Multiple market handling
