Process Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of small to medium-sized capital projects/programs (€1M – €15M) that include the integration of outside technical resources.
• Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult to complex problems using in-depth knowledge of specific manufacturing operations combined with the application of appropriate engineering principles.
• Assist the site team to determine general approaches and specific solutions to technical problems.
• Provide technical support or leadership to teams conceiving, developing, and implementing major technology upgrades or product improvement/line extensions. 
• Routinely participates inter-organization teams working on product improvement and line extensions.
• Anticipate changing resource requirements and results, and initiate appropriate responses in a way that optimizes overall project results.
• Make effective presentations of technical material to non-technical people, both written and verbal.
• Able to follow and champion the Capital Project Management process. 
• Capable of following a disciplined process approach utilizing the One-Right-Way process to ensure vertical systems startups..
• Manage project scope, schedule, finances and resources to meet predetermined business objectives
• Work independently to coordinate own and others' activities while networking with key contacts outside of discipline. 
• Manage project team members both internal to and external engineering resources.
• Work through very complex issues using in-depth analysis and can evaluate tangible and intangible variables. 
• Have individual and shared responsibility for the safety of all personnel and the safe operation of the departments, equipment, and buildings under their authority.
• Review and analyze proposed new processes for safety hazards.  
• Participate in the Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP, and HACCP processes.
• Other duties as determined by business needs

Requirements:

• Experienced in working in multi-disciplinary project teams in a multi-cultural setting
• Awareness of the cost aspects within CAPEX projects
• Very good interpersonal skills, good analytical and problem-solving capabilities, team player and strong communicator
• Able to build and lead effective work teams for midsize to large projects.
• Demonstrate good judgment in making commitments and risk-taking.
• Willingness to work for a period of months abroad (i.e. Thailand/China/US/Brazil)
• 50% to 60% travel required at times
