The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for delivering through a team - integrated application and software development solutions and programmes for a specific platform or sub-category of technical products, impacting a defined area.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the development of Business Cases and their approval via project leads and SMEs.
- Building high performing teams with strong business and content knowledge and flexibility to work across business areas.
- Upholding high standards of project management and mastering IT PPM methodologies.
- Identifying and realising opportunities for continuous improvement in our ways of working.
- Ensuring excellent financial stewardship by delivering predictable and reliable cost estimating, management, and forecasting.
- Understanding business case drivers and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver a scalable and future-proofed solution.
- Developing a flexible delivery approach tailored to the business challenge for each project.
- Embedding quality across all aspects of the project to deliver successfully.
- Seeking out opportunities for innovation by identifying and leveraging delivery accelerators that improve the speed of delivery and/or the cost to serve.
About you
- You’ll have extensive experience of IT project management, ideally gained in strategic, complex projects for large organisations.
- You’ll ideally have experience in E-Commerce also, and a track record in successfully delivering complex £multi-million transformation projects in large, organisations.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge and experience of all stages of the project and programme lifecycle, including development of business cases, mobilisation of projects.
- Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall & Hybrid) backed up with experience of applying them successfully in practice.
- Experience of delivering complex projects with budgets between £1m - £5m.
- Experience of successfully leading large multi-disciplinary project teams across a range of locations and including 3rd parties.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets effectively and experience of financial reporting.
- Strong leadership abilities including structured and strategic thinking and critical analysis.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, within and across teams to a range of audiences including C-suite.
- Credible change agent who champions change and inspires trust and change adoption.
- Solid matrix management skills with the proven ability to deliver through others.
- Keen problem solver with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with drive and determination to deliver to a high standard at pace in a complex environment.
- Able to thrive with high levels of ambiguity and resilience. In this role you can be based either at our state-of-the-art technology campus in Malmesbury, Wiltshire or our office in Bristol City Centre.
