Software Developer, Manufacturing Innovation Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Document and develop integrations through CAD/CAM systems or other manufacturing engineering software systems, work with MI Team to interpret business requirements into design and manufacturing system functionality to reduce cost and schedule, test the functionality.
• Configures and designs approaches and/or segments addressing engineering, manufacturing digital execution
• Creating applied mathematical algorithms for various applications in business, technology, or science for new software programs and systems
• Look for opportunities to improve digital process execution balanced with the practical integration with other major business systems.
• Solving multivariate and geometric problems to improve manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software
• Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects

Requirements: 

Educational:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering OR at least 5 years of technical software development with manufacturing software, factory floor equipment programming, robotics programming, or similar may be considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.  

Experience:

• Using knowledge of Design and manufacturing systems, CAD/CAM, and software development configures, maintains, and integrates new methods of maximizing the execution of the system by various approaches
• At least 2 years minimum experience in software development/programming, prefer 5 years or more of experience in software development/programming  
• Competency in C# (in a Visual Studio environment).
• Competency in SQL (in a SQL Server environment).
• Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
• Ability to be a strong team leader fostering a cohesive team, recognizing, and adapting to the needs and pace of the business
• Must be able to direct multiple disciplines and demonstrate exemplary attitude and conduct with respect to attendance, job assignments and support of all company efforts.

Preferred Skills:

• Dassault Systems CAA programming skills
• Experience solving complex problems with multi-layered data sets, as well as optimizing/creating machine learning libraries and frameworks.
• Knowledge of laminate composite design, manufacturing processes, NC programming
