Organization Overview:

• Our Client is seeking a Strategy & Market Specialist to join their Strategic Studies & Market Analysis Division (SS&MA) in the Crude Oil Sales & Marketing Department (COSMD), located in Dhahran. 
• The SS&MA is responsible for providing support to the business through the following functions: Market Analysis, Strategy, Planning, Performance Monitoring & Reporting, and Data Management.

Responsibilities:

• The incumbent should provide expertise in a specialized area with crude oil placement strategy and market analysis.
• Focused on developing expertise in a specialized area to support departmental needs.
• Works under the direction of the group leader and/or department head.
• Participates in analysis and strategy development that addresses short- and -long term. highly complex issues and problems as required by senior management.
• Mentors, trains, and develops others.
• Undertakes complex studies within developed area of expertise that can impact the company present and future operations.
• The nature of most assignments is such that incumbent acts independently with agreed objectives.
• Regularly monitors the development of existing and emerging market trends to forecast their viability and evolution over time. 
• Frequently directs and/or coordinates work task forces on special studies and consults directly with Executive Management on issues as they arise. 
• Prepares and presents plans, analyses, interpretations, conclusions and recommendations to Management and others on a broad range of petroleum market issues as they arise.
• Provides expert advice and guidance on complex planning and analysis problems to senior planning and analytical personnel and to Executive Management.

Requirements:

• A successful candidate should be holding a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, or Engineering from a recognized and approved program.
• A relevant advanced degree in economics, energy, or MBA may also be an advantage.
• As a minimum requirement, the candidate must have over 7 years in the downstream petroleum industry with extensive experience in the Asian crude oil markets and assumed responsibilities including market analysis and research, refinery feedstock procurement and optimization, or crude oil trading/marketing.
• Candidate needs to have mature knowledge of global crude oil market balances and flows; pricing dynamics and structures; and methodologies of reporting agencies and exchange contracts. Familiarity with refinery and petrochemicals, linear programming, and investment financial modelling are also highly.
