Tax Manager

Our client is one of the largest accounting and consulting firms in the United States, and 4th among mid-Atlantic firms, with over 2,400 employees in 21 U.S. and International offices.

Our client provide professional services in an alternative practice structure in accordance with applicable professional standards, provides attest services, and its subsidiary entities provide tax, advisory, and business consulting services

Responsibilities:

• Detailed reviewer of tax closings, various tax returns, compilations, closing of books & reviews.
• Develop and monitor budgets to complete engagements efficiently and timely.
• Provide direction for staff members, while earning the trust of coworkers and client representatives.
• Manage staff coordinating the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up.
• Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.
• Coordinating the collaboration with the Tax, SALT, TAS and A&A teams.
• Provide training, direction, and supervision to the team.
• Assess performance of staff and provide appropriate feedback.
• Potential to work in various industries such as: Auto dealership, construction, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, staffing and others.
• Provide individual and business tax planning. 
• Assist with client’s budgets and projections.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree accounting required.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 7-8 years of experience gained within a public accounting firm required.
• Tax knowledge required, including experience with individual tax returns/1040 and pass-through entities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, but also work well with others.
• Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess, Caseware, and XCM is a plus.
