Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provide day-to-day operational support for the application estate.</li><li>Take ownership, and be a central point of contact, for any application related issues reported by users, ensuring professional and regular communication is provided.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve complex system and/or data issues across a range of both internally developed and vendor supplied applications in support of the trading business.</li><li>Follow-up on fixes for escalated issues.</li><li>Define and implement team processes to handle all support activities including the provision of up-to-date documentation in Confluence.</li><li>Effectively record and monitor progress of all incidents and service requests raised into Jira, providing timely feedback to the business and stakeholders as required.</li><li>Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of systems to troubleshoot a wide variety of application issues.</li><li>Collaborate with relevant teams to plan, test, and deliver on-going enhancements.</li><li>Support test and development related activities through environment management, orchestration, and automation.</li><li>Operate within a change-controlled environment and ensure that deployments are conducted in accordance with relevant release procedures.</li><li>Proactively monitor applications for availability, capacity, and performance.</li><li>Participate in a wide variety of global projects, improvements, and control activities to enable growth in business footprint, innovation, and digital transformation.</li><li>Share knowledge and expertise with others, coaching and mentoring peers as required.</li><li>Occasional work outside of normal business hours may be required at times, for major incidents, planned releases/maintenance and in support of month-end closing.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Relevant work experience delivering production support within a complex trading environment involving multiple applications, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.</li><li>Experience diagnosing and remediating application issues in a Windows Server and Windows 10 environment.</li><li>Knowledge of ITIL framework, certification an advantage.</li><li>Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell and/or Python).</li><li>Technical proficiency with SQL (ideally with SQL Server and/or Azure SQL).</li><li>Good understanding of the trade/deal lifecycle and related processes.</li><li>Domain knowledge of energy physical and financial commodities and derivatives.</li><li>Working knowledge of the Allegro ETRM/CTRM platform (preferably Allegro Horizon).</li><li>Experience administering applications hosted in Microsoft Azure.</li><li>Experience with market data management platforms (e.g., ZEMA or DataGenic).</li><li>Experience managing small projects/changes.</li><li>Experience with agile delivery methodologies (e.g., SCRUM or Kanban).</li><li>Familiarity with the Atlassian product suite (e.g., Jira and Confluence etc).</li><li>Experience with C#, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio and Crystal Reports.</li><li>Experience with cloud-focussed logging and monitoring tools (preferably using Azure Monitor with Application Insights and Log Analytics).</li><li>Experience with any of the following platforms/systems: Allegro Horizon ETRM, Trayport Global Vision/Joule, Updata, FXAll, WebICE, SunSystems/Q&amp;A, Softmar, Veson IMOS, FEA (Allegro Analytics), Zema, Cubelogic, Bloomberg and Reuters.</li></ul>

Overview: <ul><li>Traders and analysts at the company are developing strategies, models and analytics using a variety of modern techniques and technologies.&nbsp;</li><li>This role will complement and augment such work by developing robust, supportable, and architecturally aligned systems, frameworks, and infrastructure.</li><li>The company requires an experienced software engineer to work alongside traders and analysts to specify, design and develop systems to, for example:</li><li>Optimise trading portfolios;</li><li>Augment trading decisions with signals derived from data analytics;</li><li>Source market and fundamental data;</li><li>Store data for future consumption;</li><li>Back test new trading strategies</li></ul>&nbsp;Responsibilities: The Software Engineer will: <ul><li>Embed themselves within business teams to identify opportunities to apply IT solutions to their problems.&nbsp;</li><li>Work collaboratively and iteratively directly with traders and analysts to formulate, analyse and manage an agreed backlog of such opportunities.</li><li>Have a strong engineering focus and eye for high quality delivery.&nbsp;</li><li>They will be expected to build robust, high-quality systems using modern software engineering techniques including automated unit/integration testing, continuous integration and automated deployment.&nbsp;</li><li>They must also be driven to automate everything as this is ingrained in the culture of the rest of the team.</li><li>Work on a mixture of system types such as web applications, real-time data processors, data analytics/visualisations and data integrations.&nbsp;</li><li>Work on a variety of different IT project styles including green-field, brown-field, prototypes and the industrialisation of systems developed by the front office.</li><li>Take ownership of their own learning to gain a deep understanding of how company’s business teams operate and how the full transaction cycle within a multi-commodity energy trading environment works.&nbsp;</li><li>This is essential to facilitate direct communication with users and other stakeholders with minimal hand-holding from Business Analysts.</li><li>Putting together fit-for-purpose technical architectures for the business problems being solved and then ensuring that those solutions are delivered accordingly.</li><li>Provide 3rd line production support for systems developed</li><li>Be expected to take ownership of the architecture of any systems developed and in choosing an appropriate technology stack.</li><li>Prevent the development of a fragmented application estate by ensuring that solutions form part of a coherent strategy across the organisation.&nbsp;</li><li>Contribute to the development and maintenance of this technical strategy that balances the need for innovation in new technologies and ideas with the need to build robust and supportable solutions.</li><li>Contribute to the definition and evolution of software development and engineering standards and practices aimed at creating a software estate of high quality and consistency.</li><li>Contribute to the definition and evolution of processes that can tailor the delivery methodology of software programmes to their specific requirements for TTM, TCO, predictability, risk, change tolerance and innovation.</li><li>Work closely with other IT stakeholders to ensure that solutions are in alignment with IT strategy around business architecture, infrastructure architecture and technology.</li><li>Work with the IT Operations/Infrastructure team to deploy solutions into company’s IT infrastructure in a sustainable way.</li><li>Work with other IT stakeholders to ensure that there is excellent continuity of knowledge.&nbsp;</li><li>This may mean writing documentation or taking part in handover workshops.</li><li>Work closely with Data Scientists or Quantitative Analysts, who will be designing, developing and implementing the underlying analytic models in Python, to write the framework in which they can easily plug-in their models.</li><li>Work with a Business Analyst and UX specialist, who will be jointly responsible for working with the traders to define what the system should do and how the user interface should align with their trading workflow.</li></ul> Requirements: Candidates must have/be: <ul><li>Expert knowledge of the modern web development ecosystem and highly productive in technology stacks such as Angular or React</li><li>Expert with the .NET framework (C# .NET / .NET Core, WCF/gRPC or ASP.NET Core Web API) for tackling larger scale problems such as service development and real-time data processing.</li><li>A strong working knowledge of Python; however, it is more important to have an understanding of the limitations of the Python ecosystem and when other technologies are more appropriate.</li><li>Strong experience of service-oriented programming</li><li>Extensive experience with from-scratch database design (both relational and non-relational)</li><li>Be comfortable with agile delivery modes such as Scrum or Kanban but should also be flexible to work with whichever delivery approach works best for the business stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to architect and design solutions using the following techniques:</li><li>Data modelling (Expert level relational data modelling, Data warehouse modelling)</li><li>Distributed Messaging Systems</li><li>Service Oriented and Microservices Architecture (Understanding of REST and RPC styles)</li><li>Domain Driven Design</li><li>N-tier and Client-Server Architecture</li><li>Business Intelligence Architecture (ETL, ELT)</li><li>System decomposition (functional, object-oriented, service-oriented)</li><li>SOLID principles</li><li>Good coverage of software development tools:</li><li>Source code management (Azure Devops, Git)</li><li>Scripting and Automation (PowerShell, DSC)</li><li>Build and Release Management (Azure Devops Pipelines, Azure Devops Release Manager)</li><li>Test Automation (Unit testing tools, Cucumber/SpecFlow)</li><li>Cloud PaaS and IaaS (Azure)</li><li>Experience developing containerised microservice architectures using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.</li><li>It is highly desirable that candidates have experience in data visualisation technologies such as Tableau or Power BI.</li></ul> Personal Specification <ul><li>The ideal candidate will have an interest in data science/ data engineering and/or will have worked in a decision support development role for a commodity trading team.</li><li>It is most important that the candidate has the ability and desire to rapidly pick up a diverse range of technical skills to support challenges as they arise. Support, resources and technical mentoring will be provided by company as required.</li><li>Highly motivated to deliver results and ‘go the extra mile’ to meet deadlines.</li><li>Able to multi-task with minimal supervision and highly structured and organised in the way tasks are approached.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong academic background, educated to degree level and/or equivalent professional qualification or relevant business experience.</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Actively contribute to design solutions supporting the Salesforce related mobile applications and user interfaces</li><li>Participate in the functional and technical requirement analysis process with Solution Owner, Solution Design Owner, business stakeholders, process owners and developers and help prioritize business requirements for coming releases</li><li>Maintain product data models and equipment characteristics in format of documentation and/or data structure.&nbsp;</li><li>Be the expert on these characteristics and product models to the other team members.</li><li>Participate in creation of the Solution Roadmap with the Solution Owner, Solution Design Owner and business stakeholders.</li><li>Ensure end-to-end integrity of characteristics, data models and integration points</li><li>Compile, review and maintain required solution documentation and related documents</li><li>Responsible for the end-to-end data and application architectural compliance in collaboration with Architects and Solution Design Owners in collaboration with development teams and other relevant stakeholders</li><li>Develop and maintain global Salesforce mobile development guidelines</li><li>Participate in global development projects and continuous development to ensure that the built solution meets business requirements while maximizing use of standard functionalities</li><li>Assist with solution deployments and supporting front lines to drive process and tool adoption</li><li>Supporting the key user community</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Professional experience of 12 years with IT industry, several years hands on experience in Mobile development and Salesforce solutions</li><li>Degree in IT / Business Administration / Engineering or relevant experience.&nbsp;</li><li>MBA is competitive advantage</li><li>Experience in ensuring solid architecture, data and technical design, e.g. in a role as solution architect, configuration owner, business analyst, solution or product designer</li><li>Excellent programming and designing skills in Mobile development and Salesforce solutions</li><li>Salesforce mobile development frameworks with various models (native, HTML, and hybrid) for Salesforce Mobile SDK and mobile device management solutions</li><li>Experience building and maintaining an iOS-native mobile app built on the Salesforce Mobile SDK</li><li>Experience building and maintaining Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC), especially in the context of a mobile user experience.</li><li>Experience with sophisticated enterprise-scale Flows in Salesforce Flow Builder</li><li>Experience in working in an international environment with ability to perform in virtual organizations</li><li>Very good collaboration and communication skills in English, ability to work independently, and ability to work in virtual teams in a multicultural environment</li><li>Experience implementing complex product bills of material into existing data models.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of elevators or escalators products is a plus&nbsp;</li><li>Proven experience in working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)</li><li>Proactive, curious, open minded and a sense of humor make the candidate a great match in the global team</li></ul>
