Supervise outside counsel as necessary.</li><li>Dispute Resolution: Gather and review facts and information; provide a preliminary opinion on exposure and risk assessment with recommendations for resolution.</li><li>Collaboration across the Law Department: Collaborating on suitable projects or matters with members of other commercial and functional support teams of the our client Law Department across segments and regions.</li><li>Due Diligence: Identify legal issues for acquisitions.</li><li>General Advice: Provide general legal and practical proactive advice to the business, while being open minded and flexible.</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to the contract review process and the legal support provided to the Energy business unit, including identifying, developing and implementing best practices.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Must be a degreed and licensed attorney eligible to practice in at least one jurisdiction within the United States of America.</li><li>10+ years’ experience, including 7+ years general commercial legal experience in a major law firm and/or multinational corporation that support manufacturing.</li><li>Experience in the energy / power sector, preferred.</li><li>Fluency in English required; bilingual fluency in English / Spanish, preferred.</li><li>A pro-active and energetic approach that ensures that the corporation’s business and legal risks are being anticipated and responded to effectively.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple requirements and remain composed under pressure.</li><li>Experience in managing projects and cross-functional teams in these efforts.</li><li>Ability to travel. Travel is estimated at about 10-25% and can include international travel.</li></ul>
