Role Description: <ul><li>The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for the leadership, performance and operational excellence of Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Clubs portfolio of safari lodges, camps, safari businesses and future hospitality ventures.</li><li>Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer – Hospitality &amp; Conservation, the role has executive accountability for the day-to-day and long-term performance of the Companys operations, ensuring exceptional safari and hospitality experiences, consistently high accommodation and service standards, effective asset management, operational efficiency and sustainable profitability across the portfolio.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations translates the Companys strategy and commercial commitments into operational execution. The role ensures that what the Company sells is consistently and successfully delivered across every stage of the guest journey, from reservation handover and pre-arrival preparation through accommodation, safari experiences, on-property services and departure.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations is accountable for operational delivery, on-ground sales and trade relationships in market, guest conversion and on-property revenue and expense management.</li></ul> Responsibilities&nbsp; 1. Strategic Leadership &amp; Operational Business Performance – 20% <ul><li>Partner with the Chief Executive Officer to translate the strategic direction of Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club into clear operational priorities, business plans and measurable performance outcomes.</li><li>Provide executive leadership across the Companys safari, lodge, camp and hospitality operations, ensuring effective execution of the Companys strategic and commercial priorities.</li><li>Act as a custodian of the Companys operational assets, financial resources and reputation, applying a long-term ownership mindset to operational decision-making.</li><li>Establish clear performance expectations and accountability across the operational organization.</li><li>Monitor business performance through financial, operational, guest experience, asset and people indicators and ensure timely intervention where performance falls below expectation.</li><li>Lead regular executive business reviews and property performance reviews to ensure corrective actions and opportunities are effectively implemented.</li><li>Identify operational risks and opportunities and recommend actions that strengthen profitability, resilience, service quality and long-term business sustainability.</li><li>Build scalable operating structures, standards and systems capable of supporting the Companys future growth and portfolio expansion.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the operational business.</li></ul> 2. Safari Business, Hospitality &amp; Guest Experience – 20% <ul><li>Provide executive leadership for Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Clubs safari business and hospitality operations across the portfolio.</li><li>Ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional safari, accommodation and hospitality experiences across all lodges, camps and safari operations.</li><li>Take executive accountability for the operational delivery of the complete guest journey, from reservation handover and pre-arrival preparation through arrival, accommodation, safari activities and departure.</li><li>Provide executive oversight of accommodation, front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, guiding, game drives, guest activities, safari logistics, fleet operations, maintenance, engineering and operational support services.</li><li>Establish and maintain clear operating and service standards across the portfolio while allowing properties to retain appropriate authenticity and sense of place.</li></ul> 3. Commercial Delivery, On-Ground Sales &amp; Financial Stewardship – 15% <ul><li>Take accountability for the operational delivery of the Companys commercial strategy across safari operations, lodges and camps.</li><li>Build and maintain strong on-ground relationships with tour operators, travel agents, DMCs, trade partners, corporate clients and other relevant market stakeholders.</li><li>Drive upselling and on-property revenue opportunities across accommodation, food and beverage, safari activities, transfers, retail and ancillary services.</li><li>Ensure operational teams understand and effectively deliver commercial campaigns, packages, products and commitments developed by the Commercial function.</li></ul> 4. Product, Accommodation &amp; Asset Excellence – 15% <ul><li>Drive the continuous operational enhancement of the Companys safari products, accommodation experiences and hospitality offerings.</li><li>Ensure lodges, camps, guest accommodation, public spaces and operational facilities evolve in line with guest expectations, operational requirements and the Companys positioning.</li></ul> Requirements: Qualifications &amp; Experience <ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism or a related discipline.</li><li>Minimum of 10 years progressive executive leadership experience within Safari hospitality, tourism or related industries.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years leading multi-property or multi-business operations at an executive level.</li><li>Proven experience developing and executing business strategy and organizational transformation.</li><li>Strong commercial, financial and operational leadership experience.</li><li>Demonstrated success leading organizational growth, acquisitions, new business ventures or expansion projects.</li><li>Experience working with Boards and executive leadership teams.</li><li>Experience leading geographically dispersed operations across multiple locations.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Strong understanding of East African hospitality, safari and tourism markets</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects across cloud, AI, data, and enterprise platforms.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, DevOps, and product managers.</li><li>Define project scope, timelines, resource plans, and delivery milestones.</li><li>Manage risks, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Ensure technical solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.</li><li>Facilitate agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives.</li><li>Track progress using tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.</li><li>Communicate status updates and delivery metrics to stakeholders and leadership.</li><li>Support onboarding and coordination of external vendors or offshore teams..</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Proven experience in technical project or delivery management</li><li>Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern infrastructure.</li><li>Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project tracking tools.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Experience with AI/ML, data platforms.</li><li>Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or AWS/Azure Cloud Practitioner.</li><li>Exposure to hybrid cloud/on-prem environments and security/compliance frameworks.</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Support in preparing budgetary cost advice for all work elements of the project, ensuring accurate cost estimates and facilitating informed decision-making.</li><li>Issue inquiries to suppliers/subcontractors and prepare bid summaries for review and approval, optimizing procurement processes and securing competitive bids.</li><li>Support procurement and contractual activities, safeguarding the companys interests and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.</li><li>Generate Order of Magnitude costs for construction projects, providing preliminary cost estimates to guide project planning and decision-making.</li><li>Refine, monitor, and control costs during design development, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to project budgets.</li><li>Manage cost analysis for new work, repair, and maintenance work to provide detailed cost requirements and timely advice to the client, fostering cost transparency and informed client decisions.</li><li>Liaise and coordinate between civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and other disciplines to ensure the material requirements for different work, assess the feasibility of using different materials, and create various cost scenarios for the client to make informed decisions on the cost implications of material choices.</li><li>Conduct risk analysis of different projects to identify, manage, or avoid potential risks, enhancing the cost-benefit profile of projects through proactive risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Procure quality services and works, calculating cost benefits to the project and client to ensure adherence to best practices and maximize project value.</li><li>Manage the tendering and awarding process and procedures, ensuring the selection of qualified contractors for bidding and awarding of work within established parameters, fostering competitive procurement practices and securing the best value for the project.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Graduate in Contracts Management/ Civil Engineering/ Quantity Surveying or related field.</li><li>Certified Contract Manager (CCM) / Professional Contract Manager (PCM) / Certified Public Procurement (CPP)- preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge in FIDIC suite of contracts&nbsp;</li><li>Skilled in Project Management (preferred), Quantity Survey (requirement) and Risk Management (preferred).</li><li>Strong understanding of contract law, construction law, and relevant business law principles.</li><li>Min. 3-5 years of experience with at least 3 years involvement in administering contracts.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Responsibilities: HC Digital Strategy &amp; Business Partnership <ul><li>Act as the HC technology lead, engaging directly with HC senior leadership to define and sustain the HC digital vision and roadmap</li><li>Lead the strategic transformation from fragmented regional HC platforms to a unified Group-level solution</li><li>Advise HC executives on platform strategy, vendor alternatives, AI adoption, and investment trade offs</li></ul> Product &amp; Portfolio Leadership <ul><li>Lead, coach, and supervise HC Product Managers, ensuring clarity of accountability and consistent delivery</li><li>Oversee HC products including SAP SuccessFactors, all related regional tenants, and any additional HC Corporate Systems or Centres of Expertise</li><li>Ensure functional coverage of key HC modules, including - Core HR, Performance &amp; Goals, Succession &amp; Talent, Learning Management (LMS), Compensation, Recruiting &amp; Onboarding, and Related integrations and data flows</li></ul> Technology &amp; Partner Selection <ul><li>Lead technology evaluation, vendor comparison, and partner selection activities for HC solutions</li><li>Ensure IT standards compliance in close coordination with Enterprise Architecture, Data, Integration, and Cybersecurity teams</li><li>Ensure selected solutions support scalability, compliance, and innovation (including AI capabilities)</li></ul> Implementation Orchestration &amp; Transformation Delivery <ul><li>Orchestrate complex HC transformation programs, including tenant consolidation, migrations, and phased rollouts</li><li>Coordinate Product Managers, PMO, system integrators, and vendors across regions</li><li>Actively manage interdependencies, risks, and critical milestones</li><li>Step into direct delivery or leadership roles when program complexity or resourcing requires it</li></ul> AI, Innovation &amp; Capability Enablement <ul><li>Drive adoption of AI capabilities across key HC processes, including (but not limited to): Talent identification and skills intelligence, Learning personalisation, Workforce insights and predictive analytics, and Recruitment screening and experience enhancement</li><li>Ensure responsible, secure, and value-driven use of AI, aligned with Group data and ethics principles</li></ul> Governance &amp; Standards Compliance <ul><li>Ensure all HC solutions comply with Group Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity and data protection, and Integration and interoperability standards</li><li>Act as a key governance authority for HC design decisions in coordination with Group Design Authorities</li></ul> Operational Oversight &amp; Evolution <ul><li>Define and oversee HC operating models, including ownership, support, and escalation paths</li><li>Support Product Managers in structuring support models, release management, and vendor governance</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.</li><li>Certifications in HR platforms, enterprise architecture, program management, or AI/data are advantageous.</li><li>Senior experience leading Human Capital technology transformations, preferably with SAP SuccessFactors in multi tenant or multi region environments. 3-5 years.</li><li>Additional expertise and experience in market HC technology references as Workday is also an asset.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing or consolidating large HC landscapes (Core HR, Talent, Learning, Compensation, Recruiting).</li><li>Proven ability to evaluate and compare HC platforms (e.g. SuccessFactors vs Workday).</li><li>Strong understanding of AI applications in HC and digital workforce enablement.</li><li>Experience leading teams of Product Managers or Solution Owners in global organisations.</li><li>Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, integrations, data governance, and cybersecurity in HC systems.</li><li>Ability to operate credibly at both strategic and execution levels</li></ul>
