Role Description: <ul><li>The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for the leadership, performance and operational excellence of Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Clubs portfolio of safari lodges, camps, safari businesses and future hospitality ventures.</li><li>Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer – Hospitality &amp; Conservation, the role has executive accountability for the day-to-day and long-term performance of the Companys operations, ensuring exceptional safari and hospitality experiences, consistently high accommodation and service standards, effective asset management, operational efficiency and sustainable profitability across the portfolio.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations translates the Companys strategy and commercial commitments into operational execution. The role ensures that what the Company sells is consistently and successfully delivered across every stage of the guest journey, from reservation handover and pre-arrival preparation through accommodation, safari experiences, on-property services and departure.</li><li>The Executive Director of Operations is accountable for operational delivery, on-ground sales and trade relationships in market, guest conversion and on-property revenue and expense management.</li></ul> Responsibilities&nbsp; 1. Responsibilities: HR Policy &amp; Governance <ul><li>Develop, review, and continuously improve company HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, transparency, and full compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.</li><li>Establish and maintain a structured policy management framework, including standardized documentation, approval workflows, version control, and audit trails.</li><li>Own the lifecycle of HR policies, from drafting, stakeholder alignment, approval, communication, to periodic review and retirement.</li><li>Monitor, interpret, and analyze local labor laws and regulatory changes, translating them into actionable HR policies and practices.</li><li>Proactively assess compliance risks and update policies and processes to mitigate potential legal or operational exposure.</li><li>Design and deliver training programs for employees and managers on HR policies, compliance requirements, and best practices, ensuring strong understanding and adoption.</li><li>Develop clear and effective communication strategies to ensure timely and consistent dissemination of HR policy updates across the organization.</li><li>Partner with HR teams, Legal, and business stakeholders to drive effective implementation and adoption of policies across all functions.</li><li>Track policy implementation, monitor adherence, and conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to ensure consistent application across departments.</li><li>Maintain proper documentation and reporting for audits, internal reviews, and regulatory requirements.</li></ul> Project Management <ul><li>Lead and support the execution of global, regional, and local HR initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and HR strategy.</li><li>Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management plans.</li><li>Monitor project progress, identify risks or bottlenecks, and implement mitigation actions to ensure timely delivery.</li><li>Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and effective collaboration across teams.</li><li>Provide regular project updates, reporting status, risks, and outcomes to key stakeholders and leadership.</li><li>Drive standardization and continuous improvement through project learnings, best practices, and process optimization.</li><li>Ensure all projects comply with internal policies, governance standards, and external regulatory requirements.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field.</li><li>Minimum 5+ years of HR experience, preferably within a MNC Manufacturing company environment.</li><li>Hands-on experience in localizing HR policies and employee handbooks across APAC countries, including China, with sound knowledge of labor law compliance and HR governance practices.</li><li>Proven experience in reviewing, localizing, and implementing HR policies across APAC countries, including China, ensuring alignment with local employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and business needs.</li><li>Solid understanding of labor laws, HR compliance practices, and policy governance.</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail in policy documentation.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.</li><li>Proficient in HR systems and digital tools (e.g., HRIS, case management, MS Office).</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>RBA Compliance &amp; Customer Expectations</li><li>Lead full implementation of RBA Code of Conduct to meet strict customer audit requirements.</li><li>Align site practices with both:</li><li>RBA standards</li><li>Malaysian labour regulations (Employment Act, Act 446, etc.)</li><li>Act as the primary interface with customers for all RBA/social compliance matters.</li></ul> Audit Management <ul><li>Own and manage:</li><li>RBA VAP audits</li><li>Customer social compliance audits</li><li>Prepare full audit readiness including:</li><li>Documentation (payroll, time records, policies)</li><li>Site walkthroughs and mock audits</li><li>Worker interview preparation</li><li>Drive fast turnaround of CAPA closures</li></ul> Foreign Worker &amp; Labour Compliance (Core Focus Area) <ul><li>Oversee compliance in:</li><li>Recruitment practices (agents, fees, contracts)</li><li>Passport handling and freedom of movement</li><li>Working hours &amp; overtime (strict monitoring required)</li><li>Ensure compliance with:</li><li>Zero forced labour expectations (high scrutiny from US/EU customers)</li><li>Partner with HR and hostel management on:</li><li>Worker onboarding &amp; orientation</li><li>Multilingual communication (BM, English, Bengali/Nepali/etc.)</li></ul> Dormitory &amp; Worker Welfare Management <ul><li>Ensure compliance with:</li><li>Act 446 (Workers’ Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities)</li><li>RBA housing requirements</li><li>Conduct routine dorm inspections (cleanliness, density, safety).</li><li>Address welfare concerns quickly to prevent escalation into audit findings.</li></ul> Shopfloor Integration <ul><li>Work closely with production to ensure:</li><li>Overtime practices are controlled and compliant.</li><li>Line supervisors understand labour limits.</li><li>Conduct regular checks on attendance, OT, and operator conditions.</li><li>Ensure RBA practices are embedded in operations, not just documentation.</li></ul> EHS &amp; Chemical Compliance Alignment <ul><li>Collaborate with EHS on:</li><li>Chemical management (important in semiconductor/PCB environment)</li><li>PPE and safety compliance</li><li>Support alignment with:</li><li>ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 (common certifications in Penang plants)</li></ul> Supplier &amp; Subcon Compliance Support <ul><li>Support screening and monitoring of:</li><li>Local subcontractors, service providers, and labour suppliers</li><li>Ensure alignment with customer expectations on extended supply chain compliance.</li></ul> Training &amp; Awareness (Multicultural Workforce) <ul><li>Conduct practical, easy-to-understand training for:</li><li>Operators (often foreign workers)</li><li>Supervisors and line leaders</li><li>Use multilingual materials and real-life examples.</li></ul> Reporting &amp; Continuous Improvement <ul><li>Maintain audit documentation and compliance trackers.</li><li>Provide regular updates to management on: Risk areas, Audit readiness and Customer feedback</li><li>Drive continuous improvements to maintain competitiveness</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Diploma / Degree in any field, or related field.</li><li>Minimum 7–10 years in: RBA / CSR / Social Compliance / HR Compliance / EHS</li><li>Strong preference for candidates with: Penang E&amp;E / semiconductor / EMS industry</li><li>Proven track record handling customer audits</li></ul>
