Role Description: <ul><li>Trade promotion management business analyst will be key IT partner for driving tech programs across the Commercial program with focus in TPx ( Trade promotion Management, Execution &amp; Optimization ) for AMEA, with the purpose of business-IT joint strategy development, solution discovery, project planning &amp; delivery, service management, risk management and relationship management across key functions such as sales and finance.</li><li>The Business analyst will work in the capacity of program orchestrator to facilitate defining and executing a well-orchestrated delivery plan jointly with the external technical solution partner(s), the BU IT teams and regional/global stakeholders to ensure on time, on quality delivery of the program.&nbsp;</li><li>The Business analyst will own business-IT collaboration on a regional wide implementation of the next generation TPM (Trade Promotion Management) &amp; other commercial platforms for the our client AMEA region.</li><li>The role involves building strong business partnership across functions and BU leadership, influencing the BU stakeholders (BU IT and BU business team), jointly with his/her regional business counterpart, to provide the due governance and orchestration of the defined TPM/O roadmap.&nbsp;</li></ul> Responsibilities: <ul><li>As a key member of the our client commercial IT light house, be accountable for the governance, delivery co-ordination and execution of the overall AMEA TPx ( TPM, TPE, TPO) programs as per the defined AMEA commercial roadmap. our client AMEA Operating model is one of regional governance/stewardship and BU owned execution and accountability.</li><li>Be the Regional Commercial Lighthouse IT SPOC for the BU Project execution team (BU IT &amp; business owners) to ensure on time and on quality delivery and execution of the BU level project, including and not limited to project operational and advisory to issues, and/or escalations.</li><li>Hands on participation at the project execution level as when required. BU Project execution team (BU IT &amp; business owners) will own the project execution accountability but an attitude of ‘rolling up the sleeves’ is required.&nbsp;</li><li>Build strong partnerships with the BU Project execution team (BU IT &amp; business owners), regional and global stakeholders, to fully leverage them for solution design, delivery and sustainment to achieve optimum outcomes for the TPM/E/O program.</li><li>Partnering jointly with the BU Project execution team (BU IT &amp; business owners), regional and/or global stakeholders to ensure conformance of IT gates process – including but not limited to – System and Technical System Architectural, PMO, procurement related due diligence, vendor DD</li><li>Support commercial systems leaders during technical vendor(s) evaluation to ensure on time and on quality delivery and execution of the BU level project, including and not limited to ensuring technical vendor(s) adherence to defined quality metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLA).</li><li>Working together with the BU IT leads and PM(s), manage overall TPM/E/O financial planning, budgeting, and actualization process to ensure conformance to projections and actuals.</li><li>Be the bridge between global &lt;-&gt; region with respect to globally driven (top-down) guidelines, best practices and advisory with respect to TPx solutions to the region, and also surfacing regional/BU specific nuances back to global (bottoms up).</li></ul> Requirements: Technical expertise <ul><li>5-7 years+ IT global/regional program delivery, preferable with CPG businesses.</li><li>Ability to own and manage business &amp; system requirements for projects and adept in process mapping, interface documentation and traceability matrix and process change management&nbsp;</li><li>Extensive functional experience Sales &amp; Marketing focused on Revenue growth management, and trade promotions (General Trade &amp; Modern Trade)</li><li>Proven track record in working with multiple Clients (India and global) and in complex, multi-location projects with multiple stakeholders.</li><li>Proven track record in implementation of a regional wide TPx platform solution (end-to-end), harmonizing both business process and technical solutions across a legacy demographic of disparate systems:</li><li>Including integration with surrounding ecosystems – including but not limited to – ERP and other surrounding enterprise applications stack.</li><li>Proven track record in the OCM (Organization change management) aspect of a regional platform roll out across a highly diversified and disparate people/process and technology demographic</li></ul> Experience in the following domains would be a big advantage. <ul><li>RGM Analytical platforms – Tredence, Acumen, Kantar, Salesforce etc. and precision commercial solutions around - Pricing, Trade Architecture, Mix Management, full funnel marketing and retail execution</li><li>Data &amp; Analytics expertise with both sell in and sell out and/or any other external data sources (Nielsen as an example).&nbsp;</li></ul>

Responsibilities: Legal Bill Review: <ul><li>Analyze and audit outside law firms’ billings against billing guidelines and customary and reasonable billing standards in the industry to determine if adjustments or reductions are required.&nbsp;</li><li>Items that may be identified in the legal invoice audit for adjustments or reductions may include, but are not limited to, billing for time in excess of what was actually spent, inefficient/insufficient reporting descriptions; duplicate time charges; over-staffing – proper utilization of personnel, rounding of time charges; excessive de minimis time charges; charges for overhead and mark-up on costs; etc.</li><li>Develop, communicate and implement the legal bill review program strategy and guidelines to various stakeholders, including law firm partners and in-house attorneys.</li><li>Prepare, present and lead implementation of legal bill review program across different practice areas and regions.</li><li>Manage team of 3-4 legal bill auditors based in Mumbai office, providing them with the strategy, structure, leadership and guidance to effectively execute the legal bill review program strategy and protect nterests.</li><li>Identify and understand trends and activities driving overall multi-million dollar legal spend and propose actions to address or leverage those trends as appropriate.</li><li>Test the reasonableness and necessity of charges incurred by legal suppliers to confirm that invoices fairly reflect the basis for charges for global network of law firms.</li><li>Create reports and summaries of breaches of policy and/or generally accepted industry billing standards.</li><li>Work with Attorneys and its legal suppliers to resolve appeals and other discrepancies.</li><li>Train and/or advise attorneys and external law firms on critical components and best practices around legal bill review.</li><li>Liaise with the reporting, system administration and invoice operations support teams to resolve any invoice data and billing related issues.</li><li>Leverage management information, analytics and technology to drive performance improvement and sharing observations and trends with the team and senior management.</li><li>Identify new improvement or innovative opportunities and understand, assess and remove barriers to success.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains deep knowledge and familiarity with industry best practices and latest technologies, including but not limited to artificial intelligence, machine learning etc., that should be adopted.</li></ul> Legal Pricing Analysis &amp; Benchmarking: <ul><li>Research and evaluate historical matter data to understand position relative to market.</li><li>Identify relevant benchmarking data to inform potential engagement strategies for single matters and consolidated portfolios of work.</li><li>Develop and communicate spend trends to key stakeholders within the legal department.</li><li>Document and maintain detailed records of procedures, assumptions, methodologies and sources of information utilized in hourly rate and spend analysis.</li></ul> Alternative Fee Arrangements: <ul><li>Develop and recommend tailored alternative and appropriate fee arrangements for select single matters, consolidate portfolios of matters, and repeatable activities handled by external law firms and alternative legal suppliers.</li><li>Scrutinize standalone fee proposals from external law firms and recommend appropriate counter proposals or responses.</li><li>Collaborate with in-house lawyers and OCM colleagues to develop efficient alternative fee arrangements.</li></ul> Tracking &amp; Reporting: <ul><li>Clearly communicate analysis, financial metrics, and budget reports to individual lawyers and management committee members to ensure success of individual attorneys and the department overall.</li><li>Identify budget deviations with attorneys, and lead discussions of corrective actions to minimize cost overruns through change orders.</li><li>Model external legal fee savings associated with potential engagement strategies in support of department-wide targets.</li><li>Coordinate data gathering and analysis for quarterly reporting and presentations.</li><li>Design templates to assist attorneys with budgeting and actively monitor engagements while supplying reports to management.</li><li>Interact with Business Management staff and other administrative departments to ensure data consistency and provide accurate and timely reporting.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor/University degree in Law is required</li><li>An ability to lead and influence people across cultures at a senior level using sound judgment, successful execution of strategies, and an understanding of how to operate effectively across diverse businesses.</li><li>Exceptional data analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Microsoft Power BI will be an added advantage).</li><li>Practical knowledge of common legal matter progression (e.g., course of litigation, a basic procedure , basic corporate or financial transactions).</li></ul>

Role Description: <ul><li>Our clientss Global Legal Solutions (GLS) Department is hiring an experienced Vice President of Legal Pricing to provide subject matter expertise relating to all aspects of legal engagements.</li><li>The Vice President of Legal Pricing will report to the Director of Outside Counsel Management within the GLS organization.</li><li>Overall, this role will focus on (i) analyzing various forms of legal fee engagements (i.e., hourly rates, alternative fee arrangements), (ii) supporting and actively participating in fee negotiations with outside counsel and non-law firm legal service providers, (iii) providing guidance and recommendations relating to alternative fee arrangements, (iv) driving competitive tendering activity, (v) maintaining hourly rate arrangements on platforms, and (vi) developing and delivering strategic reporting and other highly-polished correspondence to senior members of the legal organization, GLS, and members of the external legal community in all regions.&nbsp;</li><li>The Vice President of Legal Pricing will work in close daily collaboration with Attorneys, External Law Firms, Alternative Legal Service Providers, and GLS colleagues at all levels across functions including Finance, Technology, Project Management and Operations, while adhering to GLS program goals and priorities, evaluating complex legal and operational issues and impact to our clients businesses and broader legal organization.</li></ul> Responsibilities: Legal Pricing Analysis &amp; Benchmarking <ul><li>Research and evaluate historical matter data to understand our client’s position relative market</li><li>Identify relevant benchmarking data to inform potential engagement strategies for single matters and consolidated portfolios of work.</li><li>Respond to specific requests for legal spend and/or productivity data.</li><li>Communicate spend trends and matter activity to key stakeholders within the legal department.</li><li>Document and maintain detailed records of procedures, assumptions, methodologies and sources of information utilized in hourly rate and spend analysis.</li></ul> Alternative Fee Arrangements <ul><li>Develop and recommend tailored alternative and appropriate fee arrangements for select single matters, consolidate portfolios of matters, and repeatable activities handled by our client’s external law firms and alternative legal suppliers.</li><li>Scrutinize standalone fee proposals from external law firms and recommend appropriate counter proposals or responses.</li><li>Collaborate with in-house lawyers and OCM colleagues to develop efficient alternative fee arrangements.</li></ul> Requests for Proposals <ul><li>Draft and facilitate requests for proposals and requests for information related to single matters and portfolios or work covering litigation, regulatory, and transactional concerns.</li><li>Coordinate with in-house counsel and operations colleagues to complete requests for proposals (RFPs) and meet deadlines.</li><li>Liaise with pricing professionals at our external law firms to formalize pricing arrangements.</li></ul> Timekeeper Hourly Rates <ul><li>Maintaining hourly rates and fee arrangements in our client’s e-billing and matter management platform.</li><li>Evaluating ad hoc rate increase requests and recommending an appropriate response.</li><li>Assist with regular and ad hoc rate-setting exercises.</li></ul> Tracking &amp; Reporting <ul><li>Clearly communicate analysis, financial metrics, and budget reports to individual lawyers and management committee members to ensure success of individual attorneys and the department overall.</li><li>Identify budget deviations with attorneys, and lead discussions of corrective actions to minimize cost overruns through change orders.</li><li>Model external legal fee savings associated with potential engagement strategies in support of department-wide targets.</li><li>Coordinate data gathering and analysis for quarterly reporting and presentations.</li><li>Design templates to assist attorneys with budgeting and actively monitor engagements while supplying reports to management.</li><li>Interact with Business Management staff and other administrative departments to ensure data consistency and provide accurate and timely reporting.</li><li>Collaborate with operations, data and technology colleagues to develop various automated reports to increase efficiency.</li><li>Develop standardized processes and procedures to ease of administrative work and data and metrics collection for reporting.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>5+ years of relevant pricing experience required, preferably working within (i) a mid-to-large global law firm, with experience in areas including but not limited to pricing, legal analytics, business development, and/or legal process management, (ii) a multinational in house legal operations team, or (iii) a global professional services consulting organization with legal sector coverage.</li><li>Practical knowledge of common legal matter progression (e.g., course of litigation, basic procedure, basic corporate or financial transactions).</li><li>Experience in both traditional and innovative law firm or lawyer fee arrangements or pricing methodologies.</li><li>Proven analytical and quantitative skills.</li><li>Experience conducting financial analysis and research.</li><li>Strong ability to analyze and organize data.</li><li>Highly effective project and process management skills. Lean Six Sigma a plus.</li><li>High attention to details, excellent time management and critical thinking skills.</li><li>High social acumen and the ability to collaborate directly, daily and effectively across cultures, geographies, and time zones.</li><li>An ability to lead and influence people across cultures at a senior level using sound judgment, successful execution of strategies, and an understanding of how to operate effectively across diverse businesses.</li><li>Advanced writing and verbal presentation skills required.</li><li>Strong organizational and documentation skills required.</li><li>Exceptional data analysis skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Exceptional written communication skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.</li><li>Ability to create and publish data visualizations or dashboards in Microsoft PowerBI (or similar tool) a plus.</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s / University Degree is required.&nbsp;</li><li>Law degree or MBA is strongly preferred.</li></ul>
