Responsibilities: <ul><li>Drive profitable sales growth in Process Industry (Industrial, Food &amp; Beverage and Waste &amp; Water Environment) sector of Japan.</li><li>Drive and implement strategic objectives as agreed with the Process Industry Sales Engineer of Japan.</li><li>Achieve the above through collaborative working with the Japan Process Industry Leader.</li><li>Meet or exceed sales and profit targets for Japan using all the facilities, sales and marketing resource available within the planned expenditure.</li><li>Manage to ensure sales support team, re-sellers/3rd parties, and their sales forces are well trained in our product lines, technically and in selling, and motivated, and that monitoring systems are put in place to ensure that sales engineers selling efficiencies can be increased.</li><li>Manage to ensure the staff under your control are striving for the same goals, to keep all Process Industry (Industrial, Food &amp; Beverage and Waste &amp; Water Environment) sector sales engineers and staff motivated by example.</li><li>Comply with all aspects of Group policy and procedures as required.</li><li>Ensure regional customer needs are understood and met, growth opportunities identified and the Customer Value Propositions are appropriately presented.</li><li>Work with Group Supply to ensure the appropriate level of factory technical and commercial support is given to Customers, sector sales managers and sales engineers, sales support team, and resellers in the region.</li><li>Advise upon and oversee the implementation of new product launches and sector focused marketing campaigns for Japan.</li><li>Provide orders and sales forecast updates and business reporting on performance compared to Plan and prior year, as required.</li><li>Report to the Japan Process Industry Leader, for any changes needed to promote an increase in sales, offering insight into new opportunities, market/sector developments, competitor activity, product enhancements and any changes needed for the betterment in Japan.</li><li>Ability to make decisions concerning the followings together with to the Japan Process Industry Leader.</li><li>Leading and guiding the sales engineers, and Technical Support team in daily activity.</li><li>Pricing and other sales strategy</li><li>Justification of the operating budget and proper allocation of resources</li><li>Ability to work with local Japan management as well as NEA and senior our client management across the group.</li><li>Skills to lead sales organisation to achieve sales targets.</li><li>Needs to work well with co-workers, resellers/3rd parties, and customers, and achieve desired results.</li><li>Ability to foster relationships with external institutes and organizations to promote.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>University degree/Diploma, preferable in Mechanical, Industrial and Chemistry Engineering etc.</li><li>Must have above 4 years sales or marketing experience; prefer direct sales experience.</li><li>Experience in process engineering.</li></ul>

Job Overview:&nbsp; <ul><li>The Data and Devices Business Unit is looking for R&amp;D Product Development Engineer (PDE) to design and develop high speed cable assembly and connector which are used inside of switches, servers and storage for data communication.&nbsp;</li><li>In this role you will be responsible for the design and documentation of new products, from market definition through production and release, always prioritizing customer requirements and maintaining a customer service mindset.&nbsp;</li><li>You will conceive original ideas for new products/solutions and develop them into practical and economical models.&nbsp;</li><li>You will determine specifications, perform engineering analysis, make preliminary sketches and designs, and coordinate support operations (such as fabrication engineering samples and testing).&nbsp;</li><li>Interaction with customers, vendors, marketing and sales personnel, and other engineering areas during the pre-production stages of new products is also an important part of this role.&nbsp;</li></ul> Responsibilities:&nbsp; <ul><li>Responsible for product development of high-speed cable assembly, connector from market definition through production and release:&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with the customer and sales/SA/FAE/PM in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer) and convert to a design conceptualization and preliminary product specification.&nbsp;</li><li>Conceive concepts and perform feasibility studies.&nbsp;</li><li>Run mechanical and thermal simulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Make the engineering evaluation/proposal to the customer.&nbsp;</li><li>Create the detailed design including 2D/3D drawings and perform DFMEA/tolerance analysis.&nbsp;</li><li>Build prototype samples and perform validation.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide technical support to the Operations team including Quality and Production for efficiency improvement and safe launch.&nbsp;</li><li>Resolve product related issues to closure and manage the ECN/PCN (Engineering Change Notification/ Product Change Notification).&nbsp;</li><li>Build a deep understanding of the market and customer needs by fostering a connection between the business engineering teams and the customer engineering teams&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a system level understanding of the customer application and the product design/concept necessary for providing a solution to the customers’ expectation.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide technical support to customer, sales, PM and plant teams. Conduct necessary DFMEA, tests, engineering analysis, trouble shooting and verification.&nbsp;</li><li>Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet all company technical, quality, and cost objectives.&nbsp;</li><li>Execute technical documentation to fully detail design drawings and requirements, engineering and product change notices, and design history files.&nbsp;</li></ul> Requirements:&nbsp; <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience&nbsp;</li><li>5 years of relevant mechanical engineering work experience with electrical components, electrical devices, mechanical structure design, manufacturing tooling development (stamping, molding, assembly), or manufacturing process development&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge in socket design, connector design, or other relevant mechanic design and development.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity of switch and or server equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge in relevant mechanic design and development, including but not limited to, material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, product qualification, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency in 3D Design Applications (such as ProE or Spaceclaim)</li><li>Basic knowledge in raw material, industry standard, and product application&nbsp;</li><li>Basic knowledge in manufacturing process (machining, molding, stamping, plating, assembly, etc.)&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 6sigma, DOE, 8D, etc.)&nbsp;</li><li>Fluent in English (both verbal and written) to facilitate global communication both internally and with external customers.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in a global environment – able to accommodate varying time zones and capable of collaborating with individuals across geographies.&nbsp;</li><li>Open minded, coachable, willing to learn new skills, and motivated to grow.&nbsp;</li><li>This role emphasizes designing products that align closely with customer requirements, maintaining a proactive customer service mindset throughout the development process.&nbsp;</li></ul>
