Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead technical product development of judicious projects from market definition through production and release.</li><li>Act as a core team member for mechanical design and design leader for cross-functional teams in concert with the project manager.</li><li>Train colleagues on technical tools and processes.</li><li>Leverage understanding of competitive products and intellectual property for the department.</li><li>Execute on multiple projects concurrently driving technology and product decisions with the team.</li><li>Exercise influence within the department by participating in design reviews of colleagues’ projects.</li><li>Contribute to technical initiatives within the department.</li><li>Drive customer and supplier communications.</li><li>Execute the product development through stages of concept, design, validation, and industrialization.</li><li>Concept new products using engineering tools to create 3D CAD models and work with a cross-functional team to jointly refine these concepts into manufacturable, cost-effective products.</li><li>Perform engineering analysis including mechanical simulations on key features such as spring beams, latches, and compliant pins.</li><li>Create 2D drawings with geometric dimensions and tolerances and conduct tolerance analysis to ensure design intent can be achieved.</li><li>Write specifications and technical documentation including design objectives, application guidelines, validation test plans, and qualification reports.</li><li>Coordinate and support the creation of engineering prototypes and customer samples, formalizing features as needed.</li><li>Work with manufacturing to reconcile dimensionally measured products to 2D drawings.</li><li>Coordinate validation and qualification testing on products to ensure design objectives are met.</li><li>Conduct failure analysis as needed using tools such as CT scans, cross sections, and tear downs to find the root cause for issues and implement solutions.</li><li>Maintain engineering documentation and history files.</li><li>Keep account to the project team on deliverables including honoring timeline commitments.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering.</li><li>5 years or more of mechanical engineering product development experience.</li><li>Engineering experience in connector and cable assembly industry strongly preferred.</li><li>Participation in full product development cycle from establishing customer requirements to releasing qualified design to production.</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD applications, PTC Creo preferred, Ansys SpaceClaim beneficial.</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAE simulation applications, Ansys preferred.</li><li>Ability in geometric dimensions and tolerances and tolerance analysis.</li><li>Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes including stamping, molding, plating, and assembly.</li><li>Design for manufacturing (DFM) to address customer requirements including mechanical, environmental, electrical, manufacturing, and cost.</li><li>Strong interpersonal communication and cross functional teamwork skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a global environment</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Has strong impact in Advanced Manufacturing Technology Roadmap driven development projects.</li><li>Drives for excellence in existing Plating technologies and methods.</li><li>Strives to implement optimized or new manufacturing technologies to provide improved processes and tolerance control.</li><li>Act as a liaison between the Advance Manufacturing Process team and the manufacturing sites teams to collaborate with Product Development in the optimization of part and product designs for manufacturability, providing plating process expert knowledge and general knowledge of plating processes to realize product samples and prototypes.</li><li>Provides plating process expert knowledge and general knowledge and project management to liaise the Advance Manufacturing Process team and the manufacturing sites teams, deploying optimized or new plating processes to realize advanced manufacturing technology development projects.</li><li>Acts as the binding element between product development and advanced manufacturing &amp; process engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.</li><li>Designs, develops, and qualifies plating processes in compliance with company EH&amp;S, quality and production standards, as well as recognized best in class and industry standards.</li><li>Documents all related processes in applicable company systems.</li><li>Supports supply chain to verify related suppliers’ compliance and capability.</li><li>Initiates and implements plating related programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time.</li><li>Maintains and adheres to all appropriate specifications, regulatory and customer requirements.</li><li>Applies plating process expertise to resolve significant / unique / complex issues, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.</li><li>Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment, performing work without appreciable direction.</li><li>Drives results primarily through collaboration and influence, not through direct reporting relationships.</li><li>Provides training and mentorship to other professional employees.</li><li>Provides measurable input to the objectives and goals of the department in support of the function and business unit strategies.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>8 years working experience and above, Demonstrates injection molding process expertise (process optimization, capability, troubleshooting).</li><li>Deep technical knowledge of mold design, simulation (Moldflow), tool fabrication, scientific injection molding, molding processes (injection, insert, two-shot, etc.), molding equipment and ancillaries (FANUC, Engel).</li><li>Broad knowledge of stamping, plating, and assembly processes for connectors and sockets is desired.</li><li>NPI experience</li><li>at least 8 yrs related experience, but the candidates with good potential can be relaxed to 3-5 yrs of related working experience.</li><li>Relevant experience in connectors assembly.</li><li>Ability to design the fixtures independently and process development.</li><li>English is not required, but if the candidate can use English is plus.</li></ul>

Position Overview:&nbsp; <ul><li>Company is seeking a MGR II MFG &amp; PROCESS DVL ENGINEERING for Data &amp; Device BU with location in Dongguan, CN.&nbsp;</li><li>The MPDE Manager will lead a team of process development and automation engineers tasked with developing assembly processes for power cable assemblies and coordinating with the Dongguan manufacturing engineering team on the transition to mass production.</li></ul> Responsibilities:&nbsp; Allocate and balance the allocation of work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues in the team to achieve targeted performance and retain key talent. Lead a team of engineers who will: <ul><li>Develop power cable assembly manufacturing process in accordance with LEANPD product development.&nbsp;</li><li>Drive for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods.&nbsp;</li><li>Strive to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control.&nbsp;</li><li>Support Product Development in the optimization designs (DFM) and piece parts for manufacturability; realizes sample tooling, product samples and prototypes.</li><li>Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet company Data and Devices quality and production standards.</li><li>Support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability.&nbsp;</li><li>Act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain communication with project management team to understand current and future strategic business needs</li><li>Prioritize and time manage a portfolio of projects/work efforts based on criticality and business need</li><li>Provide readouts to Director and VP level cross function management as necessary</li><li>Work with Dongguan operations team to assign resources necessary for the successful execution of new product development</li><li>Facilitate and coordinate cross-function communication across globally matrixed organization&nbsp;</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor or above degree with mechanical/electric related majors;</li><li>At least 5 years related experience managerial level in multinational manufacturing site</li><li>Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma. etc. industrial methods/tools</li><li>With 2 years or above work experience in cable assembly industry is preferred</li><li>Fluent in English and good presentation skills</li><li>Familiar with MS software</li><li>Familiar with industrial specification (i.e. IPC 620)</li></ul>
