Sr Manager - Finance and Accounting

Country Head

Responsibilities: Financial Reporting &amp; Compliance: <ul><li>Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS, IFRS, or US GAAP).</li><li>Manage period-end close processes and general ledger reconciliations.</li><li>Support external and internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit points.</li></ul> Cost Accounting &amp; Inventory Management: <ul><li>Monitor and manage inventory valuation, batch costing, and cost of goods sold (COGS).</li><li>Conduct standard vs actual cost variance analysis.</li><li>Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams for real-time cost tracking.</li></ul> Taxation &amp; Regulatory Compliance: <ul><li>Handle GST, TDS, and income tax compliances including returns, reconciliations, and assessments.</li><li>Assist in regulatory compliance relevant to the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., NPPA, CDSCO).</li><li>Maintain records for transfer pricing and other compliance reports (e.g., Form 3CD).</li></ul> Accounts Payable &amp; Receivable: <ul><li>Oversee vendor payments, import transactions, and ensure proper accounting treatment.</li><li>Monitor receivables, perform aging analysis, and coordinate with sales teams for collections.</li><li>Conduct periodic reconciliation of vendor and customer accounts. 5. Budgeting, MIS &amp; Financial Planning</li><li>Assist in annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.</li><li>Provide financial analysis and reports to management (sales trends, cost analysis, profitability reports).</li><li>Develop and automate MIS for enhanced decision-making.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting/finance roles; at least 3–5 years in a senior or lead role.</li><li>Experience in pharma or manufacturing industry is highly preferred. •	Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and cost accounting.</li><li>Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)</li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools. •	Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities. Nice to Have:</li><li>Experience in handling audits for pharmaceutical R&amp;D or DSIR-registered entities.</li><li>Knowledge of pharma-specific compliance (NPPA reporting, drug pricing, etc.)</li><li>Exposure to internal controls, SOX compliance, or process improvement initiatives.</li></ul>

Role Description: <ul><li>The Country Head is the most senior commercial executive and face of our petroleum business in Country.</li><li>This role serves as the primary growth driver and central leadership authority for business operations within the market.</li><li>This role is laser-focused on aggressively expanding market share, revenue, and profitability while providing inspirational leadership and strategic direction to all country-based teams.</li><li>The Country Head has direct line management responsibility for the sales organization and exercises influential leadership over all other functions to ensure cohesive execution of growth strategies and achievement of growth ambitions as articulated in Destination 2030 Strategy.</li></ul> Responsibilities: Growth Leadership and Market Expansion <ul><li>Develop and execute robust growth strategies to grow the Company’s market share and drive revenue growth.</li><li>Lead market penetration initiatives, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, customer segments, and geographic expansion possibilities.</li><li>Set the Country’s growth targets for the team, drive relentless execution and high team performance in country.</li><li>Conduct competitive intelligence and market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.</li><li>Champion innovative go-to-market strategies, pricing optimization, and value proposition development.</li><li>Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies, focusing on high-value accounts and strategic partnerships.</li><li>Lead major deal negotiations and strategic customer relationships that positively impact business growth.</li><li>Represent the company at industry events, government forums, and key customer and regulator engagements to enhance market position.</li><li>Develop comprehensive country business plans that align with Energy BU strategies.</li><li>Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisition opportunities.</li><li>Drive business development initiatives including new market entry strategies.</li><li>Conduct regular business reviews and adjust strategies based on market dynamics and performance.</li><li>Manage key stakeholder relationships including government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.</li></ul> Sales Organization Leadership <ul><li>Directly manage and inspire the sales team to achieve exceptional performance and exceed sales targets.</li><li>Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier sales talent while building a high-performance sales culture.</li><li>Establish sales strategies, territory management, and account planning frameworks.</li><li>Implement sales processes, performance metrics, and incentive structures that drive results.</li><li>Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to sales team members to maximize their potential.</li><li>Lead sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance review processes.</li><li>Drive sales team accountability through regular performance monitoring and corrective action when needed.</li></ul> Performance Management and Results Delivery <ul><li>Take full accountability for country P&amp;L performance at gross margin level.</li><li>Partner with functional leaders to jointly set KPIS for all functions in country.</li><li>Ensure closure of receivables in a timely manner.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.</li><li>Implement risk management strategies and contingency planning for business continuity.</li><li>Report regularly to Petroleum leadership team on performance, challenges, and growth opportunities.</li></ul> Stakeholder Management &amp; External Relations <ul><li>Build and maintain strategic relationships with key government officials, regulatory authorities, and industry leaders.</li><li>Represent the companys interests in industry associations, chambers of commerce, and policy forums.</li><li>Ensure positive brand reputation and stakeholder confidence in the market.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelors degree in Engineering, or business related field.</li><li>Masters degree (MBA) is a plus.</li><li>Industry-specific certifications or executive education programs advantageous.</li><li>Minimum 10-12 years of progressive leadership experience in petroleum, oil &amp; gas, or related energy industries.</li><li>At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role.</li><li>Proven track record of driving significant business growth and market share expansion.</li><li>Experience managing sales organizations and achieving ambitious revenue targets.</li><li>Experience working in emerging markets or similar economic environments.</li></ul>
