Responsibilities: <ul><li>Participate in a unique, world-class project on innovative process design for transport fuels and petrochemicals production.</li><li>Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes and participate in engineering and process design studies.</li><li>Address technical challenges associated with adopting new process and retro fitting to existing refinery configurations.</li><li>Perform financial modeling, cost estimates and projections on transport fuels and petrochemicals.</li><li>Conduct techno-economic analysis and benchmarking of R&amp;D projects against commercial and existing technologies.</li><li>Analyze the carbon footprint and energy intensity of new and existing refining/petrochemical processes; and suggest process improvements to reduce the carbon footprint and enhance energy efficiency&nbsp;</li><li>Liaise with business proponent and engineering team.</li><li>Mentor and oversee development of young engineers in the area of specialty.&nbsp;</li><li>Find creative solutions to technical problems, both working individually and within a team.&nbsp;</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized and approved program.</li><li>At least 10 years of experience of process engineering in refining/petrochemicals industry.</li><li>Experienced in refinery and petrochemical flowsheeting (PFD and P&amp;ID), and equipment sizing and capital cost estimation</li><li>Knowledgeable about standard refining, petrochemical processes (e.g. fluid catalytic cracking, hydrocracking, reforming,…etc.) and utilities process.&nbsp;</li><li>Able to conduct detailed techno-economic assessment of R&amp;D projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with R&amp;D projects, process development and/or scale up is a plus.</li><li>Strong project management, interpersonal skills and the capability to work effectively across multiple functional departments.</li><li>Proven track record of excellence in previous positions held.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Sr. Manager, R&amp;D characterization is responsible for contributing to all phases of Extractable &amp; Leachable studies carried out IH and at CROs. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead and initiate R&amp;D projects related to the conversion of renewable feedstocks into sustainable and circular fuels and chemicals.</li><li>Lead necessary development stages of the chemical processes including bench-scale testing, pilot testing, demo plant trials, and others.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead efforts related to the development to produce e-fuels from CO2 and H2 by debottlenecking and revamping existing processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead the research and techno-commercialization tasks related to the production of e-fuels and circular chemicals through the integration of renewable and circular feedstocks into existing refinery and petrochemical processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead detailed plan in process engineering design and process and unit retrofitting.&nbsp;</li><li>Carry out process simulations and optimizations for the overall process and individual process steps.</li><li>Create material and energy balances and process flow diagrams, and develop process design data for the individual components of the systems.</li><li>Contribute to process development projects related to converting renewable and recyclable feedstocks including converting plastic wastes and biomass into valuable products.</li><li>Expand capabilities through innovative internal and external research related to waste pyrolysis, renewable fuels, biofuels, waste gasification, and green hydrogen production.</li><li>Utilize project management tools in setting work objectives, detailing the experimental scope, and timely execution of the projects towards sound technical solutions.</li><li>Mentor engineering and technical staff in applying fundamental chemical principles.</li><li>Liaise with relevant internal organizations/committees to ensure in-house technology options are deployed as per schedule.</li><li>Effectively manage and collaborate with external entities and contractors for the execution of R&amp;D projects.</li><li>Serve, as needed, as Clients’s technical spokesperson on issues related to sustainability in fuels and chemicals.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide technical expertise and assist in the decision-making for company projects related to sustainability.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields; a PhD is preferred.</li><li>Ten years of relevant experience, including technology development and process design/engine</li></ul>
