Overview: <ul><li>As a Tech Lead, you will collaborate with the solution &amp; domain architect in making the Digital Product vision, reality.</li><li>You ensure that the solution getting implemented adheres to the design &amp; you constructively challenge where you believe improvements and opportunities exist.</li><li>You are relentless in your pursuit of engineering excellence, even when that means challenging the status-quo.&nbsp;</li><li>You are the champion of delivering solutions that meet the needs of the business design team and are loved by your users and customers (e.g. through user research or user-centric design).&nbsp;</li><li>You’ll be acutely aware that transformation requires a ‘roll up your sleeves’ mentality.</li></ul> Responsibilities: <ul><li>Establishing a strong engineering culture within the backend chapter, with focus on code quality, scalability, and maintainability</li><li>Lead technical discussions within the team and be the go-to person for the team for guidance and troubleshooting</li><li>Understand, implement and measure key Business and Engineering metrics around performance, quality and availability, and work regularly with the team to push the boundaries and improve them periodically</li><li>Foster and build a culture of actively engaging team members in engineering and design discussions</li><li>Set up solid process and practices around code quality, conventions and standards</li><li>Help delivery teams in grooming and prioritisation of Technical Debts</li><li>Leading and Contributing towards organisation wide tech initiatives and transformations</li><li>Mentoring and coach backend software engineers</li><li>Help the organisation in building a top quality team by participating in hiring initiatives</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>5+ years’ experience as a software engineer</li><li>Bachelor’s degree or Master’s – ideally in IT related field</li><li>Demonstrated ability in building, launching and growing products</li><li>Ability to deliver results in global, matrixed environments comprised of internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Good stakeholder management, ability to build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Proven track record in fast-paced and ambiguous environments</li><li>Organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects with tight deadlines</li><li>Good communication skills, should be able to articulate thoughts and ideas to engineering and non engineering audiences</li><li>Experience in leading a small team</li><li>Proven track record in building highly-available and scalable distributed systems</li><li>Expertise in all common AWS Cloud technologies, Knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows</li><li>A keen eye to quality with regards to following and establishing good coding practices, improving code coverage</li><li>Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and running APIs</li><li>Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles</li><li>Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Node.js (Javascript / Typescript), and with a basic understanding of SQL</li><li>Good understanding of microservice architecture, API driven design, event-based architecture, file ingestion design, and familiarity with APIs designs such as microservices and REST</li><li>Experience in managing Microservices that leverages AWS Lambda, EC2, API Gateways and familiar DB resources like Postgres and Dynamo DB</li><li>Knowledge of AWS stack (non-deep stack) and an additional understanding of deep stack is recommended</li><li>Understanding of IOC (Infrastructure as Code) and experience with Terraform and DevOps processes</li><li>Professional scrum certification (Product owner, Scale, Agile Leadership) a plus</li></ul>
