Role Description: <ul><li>The Product Steward is the key link between Companys Advanced Materials segments (Specialty Plastics, Advanced Interlayers, and Performance Films) and the larger Global Product Stewardship &amp; Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) team. </li><li>The successful candidate is responsible for developing /maintaining relationships with the SBUs Product, Marketing, and Technology teams, and providing them with comprehensive regulatory support, insights, threats/opportunities, and recommendations. </li><li>The role involves a deep understanding of the market segments and company’s product offerings and a hands-on approach to identify and obtain the necessary registrations, third-party certifications, and other regulatory clearances required to enable continued/extended market access for existing products and new product launches in the business strategies.</li></ul> Responsibilities: <ul><li>Relationship Management: Build close relationships with business and technology personnel, Global Product Stewardship &amp; Regulatory Affairs colleagues, Trade Associations and/or NGOs.</li><li>Project Leadership: Develop product regulatory clearance and/or third-party certification strategies and implementation plans by working closely with Product Management, PSRA regulatory experts and regional PSRA personnel, as appropriate.</li><li>Regulatory Insights: Monitor and communicate international and regional regulations in addition to proposed regulations that are relevant to the business organizations and other assigned expert area.</li><li>Customer Inquiries and Communication: Facilitate external communication of regulatory topics by answering specific regulatory questions to our customers via Company’s Customer Inquiry Management system, and business and technology partners.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, polymer science, or related technical degree with Chemistry</li><li>2+ years of experience in the chemical industry.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li><li>Proficient in English (written and oral)</li><li>Able to translate regulatory information clearly and concisely throughout all levels of the organization</li><li>Strong affinity for sustainability-related topics.</li><li>Manages time independently and work proactively with peers, management, and external stakeholders</li><li>Strong team player, results-orientated and self-motivated</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>1+ year(s) of experience in Chemical Product Regulatory and/or Product Stewardship role(s).</li><li>Industry experience in automotive, building &amp; construction, and/or plastic packaging preferred</li><li>Project management or project leader experience</li></ul>
